• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MySQL db backup script not working

Well, I guess something in the file got corrupted in the migration. I replaced the script with a copy from my computer, and now it works. Sorry for the trouble!

MySQL db backup script not working

And the script, "mysql_backup.sh," is in the same directory (/usr/local/bin) and has the same owner (root) and permissions (rwx) on both servers. And I tried substituting the actual password for "-p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`"

Yes, and from that I get: MariaDB [(none)]> I can do all things MySQL from the command line, and all scripts are working on dozens of domains. Thanks for your reply.

MySQL db backup script not working

Hi! This is on a CentOS 7.1, Plesk 12. New. On Plesk 10.4 I had a script that backed up my MySQL databases separately. The script doesn't work now. I get an error: ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES) Do I need to do something different with...

    Upgrading from 10.4 to 12

Hello. I'm at version 10.4.4. The panel's Parallels Installer says "Upgrade to 12.0.8" (no other options). If I click the "Continue" button, will I be okay? (It's been running fine for several years; no problems.)

    Migration Question -- 8.6 to 9.2

Thanks akxak! I can't even esitmate how many hours I've spent trying to figure this out. I've been here, and I've tortured my server provider, who has escalated the issue to ... Plesk! They, of course, say stuff like "read the documentation." Not one of them said the magic word ...

    Migration Question -- 8.6 to 9.2

Hello! Sorry to be so dense, but I am not able to get the migration manager (9.2) to connect to the source server (8.6). This is Linux Cent0S 5.x (new) and CentOS 4.4 (source). The error I'm getting is "Host ... is not accessible" Here's the thing. My server root password is different...

Mailman and qmail -- bounces go to unrelated address and domain

Great job, Parallels Team! Great job. Use that tough love. It's probably something so simple, you're laughing, thinking, oh, if this guy had a brain, he'd of figured it out himself by now. Well, I haven't. But I understand. Now that you own nearly all control panels, there's no incentive to help...

Mailman and qmail -- bounces go to unrelated address and domain

Okay, alternatively, can anyone tell me where to file a bug report? I see scores of places to give Parallels money to fix their own problems, but nowhere to file a bug report.

Mailman and qmail -- bounces go to unrelated address and domain

This is on a CentOS / Plesk 8.6 server but the problem has been occurring with earlier versions of Plesk. Mailman is not properly deleting bouncing subscribers. I've tried numerous bounce settings on numerous lists on various domains. That would be okay, I suppose, since the folks who run...

    wysiwyg editor and application vault

They did indeed address the "Portals" problem. Here's what they did: "Error in Plesk CP on 'Portals' application group was caused by WebCalendar-1.0-41 application record in Plesk database. However the application itself is not installed in the system. I removed this line from 'psa' database...
