• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Set the password first in the backup setup, then it should restore with the same passwords.

    Question Switching to new server

Are you importing from a backup on the old server? Did you set a backup password? Without a password, Plesk randomizes all passwords on restore: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/administrator-guide/website-management/backing-up-and-restoring-websites/restoring-backups.65200/

Issue LetsEncrypt certificates no longer automatically renewing, even though Plesk says they should

I have two identical servers that suddenly stopped auto-renewing wildcard certificates from LetsEncrypt somewhere back in March or April. (probably earlier, but that's when they started expiring). I can manually renew them, and have had to do that twice since then. But they still do not...

Resolved Let's Encrypt: Certs not auto-renewed if redirect to HTTPS is enabled for domain

FWIW: Similar issue, various attempts to reissue or renew nearly-expired certificate wouldn't work. Resolution was to delete ("unassign") the Lets Encrypt certificate and create a new wildcard certificate.

Issue Problem with license update and wrong ip

Thanks Peter, I sent you a private message. This is the advice I received from 1&1/IONOS support: I have never seen such an option, and I don't see anything like that now. Is this referring to something else entirely?

Issue Problem with license update and wrong ip

I'm having the same problem. It has happened before and I had to get 1&1/IONOS support to fix the IP the license was bound to. This appears to be a problem in Plesk. When a server has multiple IP addresses, there needs to be a way to select which of the installed IP addresses is the one Plesk...

Question Testing Disaster Recovery -- Restoring Plesk Dumps

Thanks, that is significantly more helpful than what I was previously able to find after many searches and reading! It is helpful for copying over from an old server, but unless there is something else I'm missing, that KB article does not directly address how to proceed with restoring from...

Question Testing Disaster Recovery -- Restoring Plesk Dumps

I'm testing disaster recovery procedures. My initial impression was that all I needed to do was rsync the /var/lib/psa/dumps directory tree (files and subdirectories) to an offsite/cloud location. For disaster recovery I would restore the files to /var/lib/psa/dumps after reinstalling Plesk...
