• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Resolved MariaDB updates

The problem is, that guide isn't written with Plesk in mind. For example, the official guide says to stop Watchdog and "any other custom monitoring services that may resurrect MySQL daemon" (I'm not sure if I have any). Also, the list of dependencies is different: What happens to all the...

    Resolved MariaDB updates

With respect, as I already stated, I cannot start from scratch - the system (including Plesk) is set up by my host. They refuse to install anything other than "default" MariaDB, which is apparently 5.5.52. I looked at this guide (it's rather old) for doing an upgrade, but removing mysql...

    Resolved MariaDB updates

Thanks! Yeah, I wasn't enamoured with the response. Sadly not my choice as my friend pays for the server... I just help with tech. Looking at my notes, I believe I used this Plesk guide last time... as I said, it completely killed Plesk, I was unable to log into the panel and my sites...

    Resolved MariaDB updates

Why does Plesk Onyx not update MariaDB from the included 5.5.52 to 5.5.54? It seems a worthwhile update: Or, indeed, why is there not an option within the panel to install 10? Maybe something to be able to choose a version, akin to the PHP options. When I followed the official guide to...

    Resolved Issue installing Datagrid

Thanks. Apologies... I posted there as Plesk was telling me I should install it (assumed it came with Plesk but was just disabled) and Plesk now won't allow me to resolve the issue, but I'll give it a go. However, I'm now experiencing issues with the Plesk updater again, so I'll have a search...

    Resolved Issue installing Datagrid

I'm having issues with a server... to be honest, I'm fed up with having to ask the host to reinstall the server! - First setup hung whenever you did an update via Plesk panel - Second setup decided to corrupt Plesk when I updated MariaDB Now we have a fresh install again. Literally all I've...

Resolved Plesk fails to update - PHP conflicts?

We ended up having the server reinstalled. This fixed the hanging issue and Plesk is no longer failing to update.

Resolved Plesk fails to update - PHP conflicts?

I've uninstalled 7.0 and 7.1. I can't uninstall OS vendor 5 because lots of stuff needs it, including Plesk and Let's Encrypt, which is giving me an SSL certificate for panel. Well, I guess I could.. but I don't want to break things even more!!! OK... so commenting out lines 31 and 32 in...

Resolved Plesk fails to update - PHP conflicts?

Oops... edited... was being thick! OK, so I found the list there, tried installing PHP7.0 and it said it was successful. Click OK and the spinny thing just goes round and round. Is this normal? [EDIT 2] This site can’t be reached yoursite.com took too long to respond As that had popped up...

Resolved Plesk fails to update - PHP conflicts?

I'm helping a friend prepare his new web server to go live with a Xenforo site. You'll have to forgive my ignorance - I'm not used to Plesk (although it's been fairly straightforward thus far)! Here are the server specs: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1231 v3 @ 3.40GHz (8 core(s)) 8Gb RAM 250Gb SSD...

Issues with BIND on CentOS 7 with Plesk

We've actually opted for a complete reinstall of the server as something appears to be messed up. This can be deleted. Thanks!

Issues with BIND on CentOS 7 with Plesk

My friend is having issues getting BIND running on CentOS 7 with Plesk 12 and I am offering a hand. You'll have to forgive my rather limited knowledge of setting up DNS servers - it's not my area of expertise and I haven't had to use Linux regularly for some time, so I'm rather rusty. I have...
