Is it useful to prepare the destination domain by creating a Wordpress installation? Or is that more of a distraction or a disturbance?

Ohh - so, this means it will create a new database? Can I not specify the existing database and have its contents be deleted and the tables reused? Will it be a problem if I give the name of an existing database?
