  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Resolved Running plesk bin apache --listen-on-localhost true breaks PHP $_SERVER["SERVER_ADDR"];

    Version 18.0.57 Update #5, last updated on Dec 21, 2023 03:05 AM AWstats does seem to be working now, albeit with a bit of delay which I think is normal as this is probably on a 24hr cron job. Sorry false negative. Not sure there was the same delay before forcing localhost? Also I had another...

    Resolved Running plesk bin apache --listen-on-localhost true breaks PHP $_SERVER["SERVER_ADDR"];

    Yeah sorry my bad. I think it just a delay after running plesk sbin statistics --calculate-all Stats do appear to be there. That said I also have metrics on the site and if nginx is serving the page without touching apache then it could also affect impressions on those pages. Not sure.

    Resolved SECURITY - attack surface : ports 7080 and 7081

    Ok I realise now that the recommended fix also has undesirable consequences such as breaking awstats. It also makes me wonder about the accuracy of the awstats and other metrics when using a reverse proxy.

    Resolved Running plesk bin apache --listen-on-localhost true breaks PHP $_SERVER["SERVER_ADDR"];

    If I am reading this correctly it seems Plesk have changed the default in 18.0.56 and have changed again in 18.0.56.3. Not sure if anything else has changed? The fix to change the default seems to have undesirable consequences either way.

    Resolved Running plesk bin apache --listen-on-localhost true breaks PHP $_SERVER["SERVER_ADDR"];

    How does this make sense? This answer seems contradictory as well? What am I missing? You state that exposing ports 7080 and 7081 improves security, but at the same time state that this feature was introduced to make these ports no longer available to improve the security of the server...

    Issue index.php prepended to Drupal 10.1.x admin paths when running PHP as FPM Application served via Apache

    One thing that is odd here is I notice plesk uses the favicon in it's ui. I think this is a new feature. However Drupal also has it's mechanism for handling the favicon. e.g. if the favicon is not in the root it will try to either load from the theme or fallback to the included default in core...
