• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Plesk panel update fails with "certificate has expired"

Hi @Sebahat.hadzhi that indeed worked. I hope I can reset this setting and don't have to do this manually everytime I want to perform a plesk update.

Resolved Plesk panel update fails with "certificate has expired"

I'm currently still on 18.0.64 and want to update to latest 18.0.67. When I run the installer from the Plesk Panel, it starts and quits after a while with the following message: Installation started in background Checking whether the package dependencies are resolved. Installing packages ****...

Issue Can't confirm firewall rules from CLI

That's obviously something I can't configure. I only have access to the server itself and some unuseful settings on the Strato server settings page.

Issue bind9 - Accepting TCP connection failed: invalid file

I did comment it out and even rebootet afterwards. Messages are still present.

Issue bind9 - Accepting TCP connection failed: invalid file

/etc/hosts.deny is empty (std comments only). /etc/hosts.allow has one entry: "sendmail: all" - I haven't added it so I think it's due to Plesk mail service. AppArmor is disabled.

Issue bind9 - Accepting TCP connection failed: invalid file

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS, kernel 5.2.0 bind9: 1:9.18.18-0ubuntu0.22.04.2 - upgrading to latest 1:9.18.24-0ubuntu0.22.04.1 now. Plesk: 18.0.61 Update Nr. 6 No bad file descriptors, no bad IP addresses since then. I'm upgrading bind9 now. bond restart showed this: Besides of the one...

Issue bind9 - Accepting TCP connection failed: invalid file

I have the exact same problem. After some hours of running after reboot I'm again seeing those messages. Scrolling back the last change that happened on the system (out of nowhere and for whatever reason) before the first such message appears is: At the moment only rebooting helps. Trying to...

Question Is there a way to see contents of the postfix greylisting?

@Maarten. I tried that already, but the commands you mentioned only show some pretty static information. The server info shows a list of fixed domains and has nothing to do with the mails that arrived at my system. For the domain info it only shows that it's enabled. @DamienOrtega I did that...

Question Is there a way to see contents of the postfix greylisting?

I recently switched on greylisting and wonder if I have the possibility to see, which domains (or IPs?) are already saved as being ok for new mail to pass, and maybe also what's currently in the "waiting" (for email to arrive again) state?

Question Where are mails to root stored and how to forward them to an external address?

In the syslog I see mails being sent to root@myserver.mydomain e.g. from cron, which postfix manages the following: Feb 18 13:33:02 myserver plesk-sendmail[41385]: S41385: from=<root@myserver.mydomain.tld> to=<root> Feb 18 13:33:02 myserver plesk-sendmail[41386]: S41385: add-from: stderr: PASS...

Issue Docker containers don't start after plesk/extension upgrades

Last night the docker related packages have been updated on the system automatically (containerd.io docker-compose-plugin docker-ce-cli docker-ce). This morning no container was running, although every container should restart automatically. I can see in the syslog around 01:17, that containerd...

Question How to trigger re-sync migration from command line?

For databases I implemented a MySQL replication and created scripts for switching it properly (well first test went well, but then I lost track on it, so next switch will show whether switching replicas works smoothly or not). For mails: not yet. I started by rsyncing the mailnames directory to...

Issue nginx on Plesk for Linux server does not start - Cannot assign requested address - from docker

I run into this issue after reboot, and I know pretty well this page: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12377953692951-nginx-on-Plesk-for-Linux-server-does-not-start-automatically-after-reboot-99-Cannot-assign-requested-address The problem is, that it's not the main IP nginx can't...

Question How to bypass / set Plesk Extensions initial config via command line?

On a fresh installation, when I go to the GUI and the Extensions tab, I'm asked to provide information on what to be shown: private/business extensions. Since initial server setup is done via ansible: How can I set this value from the command line? I couldn't find anything related to the plesk...

Resolved Unable to set admin user's locale via command line

Actually I didn't set anything on the log in page and I guess then "default" is used. My expectation is that the language that I set in the admin user's profile page is used, which is usually the case Anyway: This one is not updated either. So my expectation is that when I run the command plesk...

Issue plesk firewall 2.1.5-412 still has problems

I have the exact same issue as @PeterKi mentions and I'm also on a Strato server (yet!). I set both timeouts already to 240 because running the firewall-new.sh script manually already took 2:40. Nevertheless firewall i disabled, can't be enabled, breaks with the "emergency.sh timeout after 5s"...
