• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    How to point virtual directory Outside domain main folder

    how 'bout now? Has anyone figured out a way to may a virtual directory automatically to new sites? I know this is almost 6 months after the thread started, but if you've found a way I'd like to hear it. I don't care if it's a GUI thing - in fact, I'd prefer if it were NOT a GUI thing. I'd...

    8.2.1 Is Out?

    MySQL crashes, funky text in the control panel ("%1" and the like), stats not working, SpamAssassin crashing regularly, updates not working, loss of configuration for Watchdog, and Plesk just behaving erratically. Some of those problems persisted to 8.2. I haven't had a single client complain...

    8.2.1 Is Out?

    I have two servers with RHEL4 - and 8.1.1 was the worst Plesk experience I've had. 8.2.1 is a blessing in comparison.

    Update Problem 8.1.1 -> 8.2.0 MySQl Problem

    When I went through this same experience, I went through every table within the server that was messed up and the one that worked (I had two RHEL5 servers with almost every setting the same; one updated flawlessly, the other was hosed), migrating database schema changes between them. The two...

    Update Problem 8.1.1 -> 8.2.0 MySQl Problem

    The EXACT same thing happened to me. I spent an hour or more futzing with it when my colo finally managed to get Plesk to look into the system. From the logs, it looks like they created a new MySQL backup, removed and reinstalled Plesk, and then restored their backup to re-engage the...

    Update Problem 8.1.1 -> 8.2.0 MySQl Problem

    Okay, I fudged the init script to enable the status verb. This MUST be done individually on each of your systems, since there's no way to ensure that there isnt something else in the existing init script that might be harmed by just overwriting it. Your mileage may vary, of course, but this...

    Update Problem 8.1.1 -> 8.2.0 MySQl Problem

    It's not that MySQL isn't getting started, but that the MySQL init script doesn't support the 'status' verb, which the Plesk installer is using to determine if the MySQL service is running okay. The version of MySQL you (and I) have installed does not support it - only...

    Plesk 8.11 upgrade to 8.2 problem

    On the plus side, the tech I talked to said that he saw the same thing yesterday and someone from his team was able to resolve it.

    Plesk 8.11 upgrade to 8.2 problem

    I have an almost exact match server that the 8.2.0 update did work on, so I duplicated the structure of the psa database from that to the one that is not working, removed watchdog (which complained because my installation of MySQL doesn't support the 'status' verb), and then ran up2date -u. All...

    Upgrade Error - 8.1.1 to 8.2.0

    Similar issues as you for the most part, and I got it to install "kinda" 8.2. It says Watchdog is broken now, though. So I ran "up2date -u" to see if it'll give a more detailed error, here it is: The package psa-watchdog-2.0.2-rhel4.build82070706.15 is not signed with a GPG signature...
