• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question cron will not run working Bash script

Well, using a simpler version of the script on the realisation that I don't need to loop for each log on the basis the cron job will run each night, plus the realisation that yesterdays's log will always be *.processed.1.gz and so I need to timestamp the files when moving to the uploaded...

Question cron will not run working Bash script

So starting to answer my own question, it look slike the cron task is run in a chrooted environment based on the system user of the subscription and so I need to work out file paths (Scheduling Tasks) Note: In Plesk for Linux all "Run a command" scheduled tasks by default are run in a chrooted...

Question cron will not run working Bash script

I have a small bash script that uses curl to post the Plesk Apache logs to a logging service and then moves the files to an 'uploaded' directory (so as to not reload them on a second run). The scripts works fine from an ssh CLI, but fails under cron and so I'm clearly missing a permission for...

Resolved Creating a domain alias with www prefix

Humm, you didn't note the bit where I said; "and no, the www, unqualified or no preference setting in Hosting Settings does NOT affect this behaviour." I'm afraid the domain preferecne setting has no effect on the www prefix applied to all domain aliases...you have to have www and like it. But...

Resolved Creating a domain alias with www prefix

Well, I've found a simple answer to my problem...a wildcard subdomain. Works llike a dream and simply allows the single docroot to look at the host-header of the incoming request and decide what to do with it :-)

Resolved Creating a domain alias with www prefix

I've seen various threads about this but none really answer what I'm hoping to do. I have a Plesk Onyx 17.0.17 #21 box running a domain - example.com. I want to be able to create domain aliases of: a.example.com b.example.com c.example.com etc. However, Onyx insists on www.a.example.com and...

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

Well as mentioned, nginx isn't installed on my box and so as @trialotto says, certainly not the cause of my issue

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

Thanks for this and the problems did indeed occur after a yum and Plesk update, however, I do not have nginx installed on the box :-)

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

Thanks @trialotto, I understand all that you say but I was still amazed at just how simple and smooth it was as nothing is (usually) this simple, and that is from about 35 years at this game. Even the official Courier to Dovecot migration advice is more involved requiring a Perl script and...

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

Well the Outlook issue seemed to be the server, not Outlook or the connection, and although I could send and receive mail okay, folder synchronisation was always giving errors and clearly not working properly as mail wasn't synched across devices. Noting your comments about; 'better to use...

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

Odd, Outlook now reporting errors, yet is both sending and receiving :-( Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for xx@yy.co.uk.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for xx@yy.co.uk. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this...

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

I'm interested by the comment of moving from Courier to Dovecote. Is there a KB article on that, just to ensure I don't entire ... things up in attempting a move. Dovecote might be better, but there's also the; If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it approach :-)

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

My box is an ISP pre-built image and so I certainly have never install nginx or qmail. Looking at the output of semodule -l (attached) then there is no mention of nginx, but qmail does appear as 'qmail 1.5.0'. I therefore went to disable enforcement over qmail and got: # setenforce 0 #...

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

Well ran: plesk repair all -y Similar output to before, but I note each call to restorecon generates the same output: /etc/selinux/targeted/contexts/files/file_contexts: Multiple same specifications for /etc/nginx(/.*)?. /etc/selinux/targeted/contexts/files/file_contexts: Multiple same...

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

Wow, thanks for the *very* quick response :-) Well I found a similar thread, albeit about BIND, under 'BIND not starting in PLESK 7.5.4 on CentOS 4.2 server'. So my SELinux policy is set as: SELINUX=permissive SELINUXTYPE=targeted So while not disabled, it's not enforcing either and nothing...

As a further update... I ran: # plesk repair mail as per the thread 'Plesk 12.5.30 update fail! neeed help' and then had the odd situation of Dovecot running while at the same time Home > Tools & Setting > Services didn't show Dovecot at all! ps confirmed it was though, no matter what...

Courier reports: "bind: Address already in use" after upgrade to Plesk 12.5

I am an CentOS 6.7 (Final)‬ fully-patched. I was on Plesk 12.0.x, fully auto-updated, but today noted an option for 12.5 and so autoupdated to 12.5.30 Update #13 all without error. All looked good following the update. I now realise Courier isn't running and so Email has stopped. The Courier...

Multiple PHP Versions in Plesk 12.0 Out of the Box!

I'm on Plesk 12.0.18 Update #60 having updated from 11.5 I think, being the ISP standard build. I have Plesk to automatically apply updates, so does this imply 12.5 is considered bleeding edge (early adopter) and will come into the automated update process once considered general release? Thx :-)
