• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    MariaDB Update....

One thing: Followed it all to the letter, but the Plesk updater continues to show a MySQL update as being available. Yes, I ran the command you list above for doing a manual upgrade. So? Peace, Gene

It's already set for MariaDB 5.5. So just replace the distribution and it's done? Peace, Gene

    MariaDB Update....

It's not offered in the control panel as a normal installation option. You have only one choice for MySQL right now. Shouldn't this change? cPanel gives you several options. Peace, Gene

    MariaDB Update....

I'll look into it. But when does Plesk officially include it? Peace, Gene

    MariaDB Update....

My Plesk 12.5.30 server is presently offering MariaDB version 5.4.44. But I see there's a version 10.1.10-MariaDB in the current cPanel. So do I await for an update in Plesk, or add it myself — or what? If I add it myself, does that create a complication or is better for you to do it? Peace...

    Microupdate #19 changelog ?

I noticed. So after a little pain and a little help from some nice people, we moved all our sites to PHP 7 and it all runs faster. Peace, Gene

Installation in CentOS 7.1 with plain MySQL

Yes. Thanks. It worked. Too bad your documentation doesn't seem to show that. Peace, Gene.

Installation in CentOS 7.1 with plain MySQL

Fast question: Want to restart MariaDB on my Plesk 12.5.x server, but the usual restart commands fail with "No such file or directory." Nothing recommended in the manual seems to function. So: [root@server ~]# service mysql restart Redirecting to /bin/systemctl restart mysql.service Failed...

    PHP-FPM Over Apache w/PHP 7.0.1 Guidance

I've got the solution. But there's nothing wrong with that login script as written in PHP 7.0.1, or at least it works with the following fix suggested by a colleague: It appears my script is designed to connect to a third-party XenForo script known as api.php from Xen API...

    Email Notices....

With cPanel, I could set it up to get notices of such events as someone logging in to the server, to a user account, or when there's an event such as someone being blocked by triggering Mod Security or the firewall. Is there a way to set up Plesk to do the same? Peace, Gene

Please Provide PHP-FPM Over Apache w/PHP 7.0.1 Guidance

I am not expecting Plesk to provide this help. I'm expecting users to help. As indicated in another thread, the issue appears to be the result of changes in PHP 7, and I'm hoping someone will help me revise the script accordingly. Thanks for understanding.

    PHP-FPM Over Apache w/PHP 7.0.1 Guidance

I appreciate the link, but you are taking me into "Klington" territory. I didn't write the original script and my PHP abilities are slim. The original developer was not available to help since he's not worked on PHP 7. Would it be possible for someone to show me exactly what changes are needed...

Please Provide PHP-FPM Over Apache w/PHP 7.0.1 Guidance

I have installed PHP 7.0.1, with the latest Plesk 12.5.x update. Most of my domains work well. I had to update a couple of WordPress plugins, a trivial matter. Performance is noticeably better. But I also have two domains with forums that have private/upgraded areas where we distributed some...

[#PPPM-3842] SPF - SMTP Error Message

I would be cautious about this. Not every mailer properly sets SPF, so it could fail even though it's not spam. Yet some spammers use proper SPFs. Explanation? Just tell them that their SPF entry was rejected and it needs to be fixed before you'd accept email from that sender.

I don't think I'm necessarily knowledgeable enough in PHP to do that, but I'll post try. And I will post the script in a separate thread.
