  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Plesk 12.0 Preview

OK, I got it now. Obviously this Plesk feature wasn't designed to work for relayed mail the way you intend it to. By the way, you mean "relayhost" instead of "relay", don't you? To fix the issue you probably need to configure mail relay to require authentication under your mail user accounts...

Finding/Using the Encryption key or salt used for account passwords

That's exactly the problem I described. You operate in technical terms and details, being overly specific in irrelevant ones ("authenticate against the plesk db, or set my own salt or key") and not specific enough where it actually matters ("against the Plesk accounts"). 1) There is a number of...

1 Master Plesk server, 1 slave plesk server

I'm not sure, but seems like you should be able to change the script to remotely use Plesk DNS management (e.g. via API-RPC) to create and manage appropriate zones. However I'm not sure what situation you'll get in case of failover. How do you plan to manage your DNS records if one of the...

Finding/Using the Encryption key or salt used for account passwords

I've seen several similar threads since this feature appeared in Plesk. And they never produce anything remotely useful as those who post in such threads never share their business cases they intend to solve. Seems like the only thing they want is to "find the salt or key" or something alike. Of...

    Plesk 12.0 Preview

Loup Artic, could you clarify your setup? You have web servers that are not managed by Plesk, but your email is managed by Plesk on another server? Which version of Plesk preview are you using? Why do you need to set up anything manually for outgoing mail control to work for you? Judging by...

Plesk Panel won't load after Apache upgrade: ERROR: Service_Agent_Exception

apt-get install apache2=2.2 or something like that (you might need to specify the exact version).

Plesk Panel won't load after Apache upgrade: ERROR: Service_Agent_Exception

Plesk 11.5 doesn't really support Apache 2.4, so your best bet is downgrading back to Apache 2.2.

How can I get "PHP5.4 support" back on Paralles Plesk Panel components list?

It will always be named "PHP5 support". It will install the latest available php packages. Be warned though that switching from "PHP5.3 support" to "PHP5 support" doesn't always go very smooth.

How can I get "PHP5.4 support" back on Paralles Plesk Panel components list?

"PHP5.4 support" was never there. "PHP5 support" is your OS (or thirdparty repo like atomic) vendor PHP packages. "PHP5.3 support" is php53-* packages from you OS vendor repos. P.S.: it's not related to your question, but you should really consider moving to a newer OS distribution.

SMTP server requires no authentication, huge issue!

Just remove loopback (or just all) addresses from the "White List" tab on "Server-Wide Mail Settings" page. It wouldn't save you from spam though (because there's also sendmail), you need to find its source instead.

    Round-cube filters problem?

Server-side mail filtering (the "Filters" tab) is only available with Plesk 12 (currently still in preview stage) with Dovecot installed. You cannot use this on Plesk 11.5 out of the box.

    Plesk 12.0 Preview

What gave you an idea that it should work? Looks like you have troubles with DB access. Try without chroot or in a real virtual environment (e.g. Virtuozzo/PCS containers or KVM).

    Plesk 12.0 Preview

Glad you managed to figure it out! Sure it will. Have you read comments in Plesk Dovecot configuration files (especially the header parts)? It explicitly states that you should add your customizations the other way around - by adding separate files rather than modifying Plesk configs...

Upgrade to Debian Wheezy: odbcinst1debian2 : Breaks: libmyodbc

You know that dist-upgrade is not supported by recent Plesk versions, right? The suggested way to move from Debian 6 to 7 is migration. Also I highly doubt this will be fixed, especially in an already released Plesk version.

    SELinux policy is not updated

Either rewrite your module so that current policy is OK for it too, or try following: deinstall Plesk policy, update system packages, install Plesk policy back. No guarantees it will help though. I would normally suggest looking through the logs and/or debugging, but I expect you know this...

    MariaDB 10

Plesk 11.5 doesn't really work with MySQL 5.6. At least you won't be able to install it with MySQL 5.6 without errors. I'm not sure if it works with MariaDB 10. Basically current Plesk versions don't work with MySQL 5.6 due to strict mode (which can be turned off prior to installation as a...

If you deploy your own SELinux modules you should probably be able to figure out on your own where the following errors come from: Other warning are in fact due to Plesk policy, but they are harmless.

    Plesk 12.0 Preview

Customization in Dovecot is so vast and flexible that I feel there is no single "standard" configuration. Could you be more specific about you configuration? Maybe even post important parts of it so others could help. After evaluating Plesk preview I found that Dovecot in Plesk is in fact quite...

    Plesk 12.0 Preview

That's a really useful feedback that I really hope will be taken into account by Parallels. However it doesn't really answer my question (that was rhetorical, please don't reply).
