  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    We have installed a new spam filter on our Plesk windows servers. Basically, this is a system we have designed for our linux servers but it can work on windows too. (We found SA and AV on Plesk was overloading our servers so devised a new system and there is no user-level SA on Windows...

    Well, 24 hours after the ME upgrade, the mail system was hosed again. Random ME config files were corrupt and had to be fixed manually. Meant that random people couldn't send or receive mail, login to Horde, add/delete mailboxes.... We've now upgrade to Plesk 7.0.2 in the hope that does...

    We solved the issue by upgrading to the latest Mail-Enable (1.8) and deleting all Postboxes and all mailboxes and letting mchk re-create them. The server was really fooked but all is good now. :)

    I see SpamAssassin at Server level but nothing the user can configure. Isn't that a bit pointless? Anyone know anything about this? Am I missing something, is it coming in the next version?

    Under start -> programs -> sw-soft plesk, there's a thing called Plesk reconfigurator hat has an option called "repair plesk installation". We can that and it fixed it. :)

    Limiting MySQL and MSSQL....

    I would like to offer plans with determined limits for databases. For example: Plan A - 1 MSSQL and 5 MySQL Plan B - 3 MSSQL and 15 MySQL Etc, etc.... But in Client Limits, we can only set one parameter for all databases. So on plan A, if I set it to 6, the client can set up 6 MSSQL...
