• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

What Are v3 Owner's Feelings on the v4 Upgrade

Need to read more carefully... I am still with v3, NOT v4. The php.ini file is the first thing that I looked at with this upload problem. All 3 parameters are set to 128MB. You can see this at http://www.nitrouswebsites.com/phpinfo.php (I will be deleting this file very shortly for...

What Are v3 Owner's Feelings on the v4 Upgrade

Yes, I'm a penny pincher There are at least four aspects to my issue with the upgrade. 1) I'm a penny pincher. I've not earned enough business with SiteBuilder to recoup costs or profit from the original v3 license. It is hard to sell when I myself have had issues with SiteBuilder on my own...

What Are v3 Owner's Feelings on the v4 Upgrade

Two weeks and still no solution? It's been two weeks since I posted about the upload problem on one of my SiteBuilder sites, i.e. not being able to upload .mov files larger than a couple dozen K. I don't find any similar answer either in these forums or in the knowledgebase. What I do...

What Are v3 Owner's Feelings on the v4 Upgrade

It's not the features...it's the support You can post a list of features. v3 also had customizable templates. You just had to download them, use the guide to create them, and then upload them. So they were also customizable. Unless I'm missing something...templates better be very, very, very...

    Upgrade pricing for v3 owners?

I don't see any special pricing for owners of v3. Or is there special upgrade pricing and I just haven't located it? I heartily recommend supporting those who have supported SiteBuilder by providing an upgrade path at a reduced cost. There aren't that many new features in SiteBuilder 4, and...

    What will break?

Does anyone know what will be broken in the upgrade to v4 from v3? Will customers notice a problem of any kind when they next go to update their current web site? Will any of their information be missing or deleted? Will the upgrade be seamless? Will existing templates (they appear to be the...

What Are v3 Owner's Feelings on the v4 Upgrade

I am a v3 owner (Linux), and I've not been particularly happy with SiteBuilder, not as happy as I think I should have been. I have several complaints about the product, and now discover that v4 has been released. I am not convinced that v4 will solve the problems I've had with the previous...

SiteBuilder 3.0.2 (Linux) - Invalid File

Not Resolved The issue is not resolved. Situation remains the same. I just upload by FTP to the server so SiteBuilder can access the files, as though I uploaded thru SiteBuilder. That the files cannot be uploaded thru SiteBuilder poses a real problem to my users (would LOVE to have paying...

SiteBuilder 3.0.2 (Linux) - Invalid File

Changed .ini settings = same results I've changed the php.ini settings on the server as noted, but there wasn't any reason the original settings shouldn't have worked. The results are the same, however. Still get the invalid file error. Is there a file in SB3 that specifies filetypes supported...

    SiteBuilder 3 Tutorials

Due to a lack of SiteBuilder 3 tutorials for end users (our SiteBuilder hosted customers), I am developing video tutorials to help them get along with SiteBuilder 3, likely their first contact with creating a web site, so there is a lot to learn. You can view these tutorials at...

SiteBuilder 3.0.2 (Linux) - Invalid File

Attachments not working in forum? I guess my attachment wasn't uploaded after all. I didn't see it on my post anyway. I have the screenshot to send to those who need to see it to confirm the situation. Thanks.

SiteBuilder 3.0.2 (Linux) - Invalid File

File type is correct, still Invalid File error I'm attaching a screenshot. The resource is a file; I have that correctly selected (as you can see from the screenshot). The .mov file is only 4.3 MB...not very large at all. So it is a mystery why this error occurs. There's nothing the user can do...

SiteBuilder 3.0.2 (Linux) - Invalid File

When trying to upload a .mov file thru SiteBuilder for a link, I get an invalid file error. I get this with every such .mov file that I try to upload. How do I determine what is the cause, and how do I "fix" it? I should be able to upload any damn file I please thru SiteBuilder, right?

Check Permissions that cause failed publish

Error solved...but it is a problem The error was created by files that had been deleted in the server temporary directory (that are published to the live web server at time of publish), but there are no references in the SiteBuilder 3 site any longer to those files, so I do not understand why...

Check Permissions that cause failed publish

The error is correct...that image does not exist The error in the log is correct, in that that file does not exist. But why is that an error? Why is SiteBuilder calling for it when it does not exist, and should not exist, in the site?

Check Permissions that cause failed publish

SiteBuilder 3.0.2 (Linux) - Invalid File

Invalid File Error upon upload Issues crop up in SiteBuilder 3 all the time. My current site that I'm working on reports several errors at different times. Currently, when trying to upload a .mov file to link to it for video tutorials for SiteBuilder 3 (as it happens!), I get the error "Invalid...
