• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

well... 17.5.3 vs 17.8.11 ... and this can also explain why things are working here...

but... you're still on 17.5.3, right?

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

@G J Piper have you checked if by any chance that missing piece appears out of nowhere when you turn-on DMARC? I could test that myself (by turning-off DMARC), but you know how the saying goes: "if it ain't broken, don't fix it!" and I'm afraid to break things and have at least an handful of...

plesk-9.0/postfix-srs From the name it could seem to be "old junk"... too bad that I never had Plesk 9.0 in my system! (12.0 -> 12.5 -> 17.5 -> 17.8)

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

Yeah.. I guess the Sendgrid thing is at least "suspect" But the fact that you have to turn off DMARC for the locals to get mail is not right. We must understand if that "missing piece" of yours in /etc/postfix/master.cf can explain this and why you don't have it... Pinging my pal @Mark...

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

@G J Piper as your setup as an added possible factor (the mail is relayed), at this time I'll concentrate on solving @Giuseppe issue, from which we could learn something and then proceed with your more complicated setup... In the meanwhile, I think you (both of you!) should check your DKIM/SPF...

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

... and.... is it working? ----------------- @Giuseppe too had to turn off incoming DMARC checking or he had issues sending inter-domain messages on the same server. At this time I don't have enough information for understanding the reasons of this... will dig. I am not sure if turning off...

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

@G J Piper can you tell me what your setting are in that departement... @Giuseppe confirmed me that he doesn't have DMARC activated, for unrelated issues that we are discussing in private (and in Italian!) Next days I'll be busy and I don't know how much I could be here in the forum...

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

do you have 127.0.0.1:12346 inet n n n - - spawn user=popuser:popuser argv=/usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/postfix-srs in your /etc/postfix/master.cf ? ... and this is another hint (which previously I failed to note, sorry) that maybe something is wrong in your system...

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

@G J Piper I have reviewed your log and I'm wondering if you have the same issue... after all maybe sendgrid is not the culprit... o_O

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

My (minimally educated) guess is that you don't "SPF/DKIM/DMARC process" (authenticate) the incoming mail from Yahoo and Gmail refuses to receive the forwarded mail in this state. I would say that probably you have something wrong in your "Server-Wide Mail Settings": check that Under DMARC you...

In the first part of both we have the message received (ID=44A81C40 in mine, ID=868893614CD in yours), in the second part we have the message sent (ID=8652AD9B in mine, ID=492603627A5 in yours) In the first part (receiving from Yahoo) I see differences I pass the message through dk_check...

Hey guys, thanks for the "Best Answer" (btw, I removed the flag...), but I must remind you that this is @Giuseppe's thread, you rascals! :D And... (memo to me) there is a nice thread for bitching sharing important information about cloud service providers: Important - A special topic for...

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

I think it is quite evident that Sendgrid is doing what I said: In that diagnostic Google is complaining about "Unauthorized mail from aol", but the mail your server is forwarding is not from AOL, it is from your domain, with AOL hidden in the local part of the email address (that's SRS...)

I didn't find that info: it's a logical deduction: "Elementary, my dear Watson!" :) That diagnostic that you posted before (the one with the blue background), where does that comes from?

Issue DMARC issue with forward mail

... but Sendgrid doesn't accept SRS'ed email... Actually what they apparently do is to "implode" the SRS'ed address into the original sender address and apply DMARC of the original domain: FAILURE! :D
