• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

niceText problem in typo3/ImageMagick after upgrading from plesk 12.0 to 12.5 under CentOS7

All in all the 12.5 Upgrade went very smooth, so thank you for that good job! One issue I got aware of after upgrading, is the fact, that niceText is no longer working in my existing typo3 installations. After the upgrade I installed nginx and a new odin plesk php5.6, which I wanted to try...

    Domainkeys won't work after migration

Quite some time ago, that I had this issue. One last question, I couldn't find a way to activate the domainkeys right in the service plan, so that it is automatically enabled for newly created subscriptions. Is this possible?

    Problem disabling Apache ASP support

Weird... I found the problem... Using "./service_plan -u name_for_plan -asp false" worked and I was finally able to sync the subscription again. Nevermind

    Problem disabling Apache ASP support

I'm working on transferring my Hostings to a new server, but ran into some problems. Transferring the data from one Plesk 12 server to another works quite well using the migration manager, although you have to create the service plans by hand as well as you need to work through the server...

[PPPM-2714] Error in sessions.save_path for multiple PHP versions

I've been pleased too early, the problem just reappeared. As Jan suggested I checked /etc/httpd/conf.d/fcgid.conf, but it seems the values in there are reasonable: FcgidIdleTimeout 40 FcgidProcessLifeTime 30 FcgidMaxProcesses 20 FcgidMaxProcessesPerClass 8 FcgidMinProcessesPerClass 0...

[PPPM-2714] Error in sessions.save_path for multiple PHP versions

I have installed plesk update 43 today. I changed session.save_path in /opt/plesk/php/5.5/etc/php.ini and removed the "s" and deleted my symlink mentioned above. The random problems seem to be gone by doing so, but I'm not sure if the removed symlink or the updated plesk php package solved it...

[PPPM-2714] Error in sessions.save_path for multiple PHP versions

I had some more time, but unfortunately I still have the described "connection reset by peer" problems randomly when accessing typo3 pages with the plesk PHP 5.5.23 version. My first idea was to compare the php.ini files to reveal differences, but it doesn't seem to bring light into this...

[PPPM-2714] Error in sessions.save_path for multiple PHP versions

There seem to be more problems on the road... I sporadically get 500 errors from typo3 sites I am accessing with the plesk php 5.5.23 version. In the logs I find again some clues to permission problems: (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server For now...

[PPPM-2714] Error in sessions.save_path for multiple PHP versions

A really nice feature has been brought to plesk with the native support for multiple PHP versions now. I treid it out, but there seems to be an error in the session.save_path of PHP 5.5.23 (the one I tested). sessions.save_path points to /var/lib/php/sessions but the default before seems to be...

Renaming of a domain requires server restart to keep fail2ban working

Hi Igor, I'm using latest Plesk 12.0.18 Update #35 on CentOS 6.6 (Final). Please don't hesitate to ask, if you need more info.

Renaming of a domain requires server restart to keep fail2ban working

Shouldn't be that much effort to check for the service and restart it in the case of a domain rename, or? For me it seemed a valid scenario to allow new customers the possibilty to move their site to a temporary domain name, e.g. "<customer>.<hosting-provider-tld>" before it is transfered and...

Renaming of a domain requires server restart to keep fail2ban working

Ok, I'll check that... But the really bad thing about that domain renaming is, that fail2ban stops working... and if you don't check the logs you won't even notice that it is not working anymore. Maybe a good solution would be to send a fail2ban restart automatically, when a domain is renamed...

Renaming of a domain requires server restart to keep fail2ban working

If you rename a domain, fail2ban will stop working, since it still tries to open the old path the the web access log. One workaround is to restart the server after renaming the domain, then fail2ban paths are updated. I'm using plesk 12.0.18.

Renaming of domain leaves open_basedir unchanged, so PHP will stop working

This was actually a Typo3 specific problem. After renaming a domain (so the path to the web root folder changes), you have to clear the typo3temp folder, else you'll run into this problem.

Renaming of domain leaves open_basedir unchanged, so PHP will stop working

Hi guys, it seems that this problem reappeared: http://kb.odin.com/en/115838 To be honest, it is a special domain I renamed, since I created a domain which was actually a subdomain of another domain. An the package was modified, so it is no longer linked to the package. But renaming should...

    Domainkeys won't work after migration

Thanks Igor, running this command created the domainkeys and inserted them correctly to the DNS. I have searched in the GUI, how this can be enabled in the subscription plans, but I wasn't able to find it. Can you please tell me, how to enable this in the subscription plan, so this setting...

    Domainkeys won't work after migration

Recently I migrated my server from CentOs 5 to CentOS 6.4, while using the migration manager from plesk 11.0.9 (the migration was between the same plesk version). I used rsync first, which caused some trouble, but without it, the migration process worked fine. Unfortunately, if I create...
