• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue [17.5.3] Plesk for Linux patches, still a bloody disgrace

On the Apache restart, this is what I see on one of the servers affected: /var/log/plesk/install/autoinstaller3.log [...] [2017-11-15 08:48:51.246502] Bootstrapper has finished action (exec time: 1 sec.): parent_name='panel', sequence='post', stage='execute', sequence_order='0'...

Issue [17.5.3] Plesk for Linux patches, still a bloody disgrace

Igor, thanks for replying, much appreciated. You've made few valid points there. See inline my answers: Yes, that's what I was referring to. You've pushed a Roundcube security update, fair enough, you had to. This is one of the problems I've been battling with when it comes to Plesk updates...

Issue [17.5.3] Plesk for Linux patches, still a bloody disgrace

... and here's the icing on the cake: this morning I've just patched one test 17.5.3 instance, bringing up to #MU30, for yet another plesk-roundcube-1.2.7 package. Same problem, of course: reconfigure the webserver's server config and the webmail vhosts, even if it's not necessary. And btw, why...

Issue [17.5.3] Plesk for Linux patches, still a bloody disgrace

Folks, so you've just decided to push #29 which, according to Change Log for Plesk contains a new feature shipped together with the latest Roundcube 1.2.7 packages to fix a zero day vulnerability. Great, good on youse! The problem is, actually are, at least 2: - Why on Earth do you keep shipping...

Issue [12.5.30 -> 17.5.3] After upgrading, some (all?) reconfigured sites have wrong DirectoryIndex config

CentOS 7, 12.5.30->17.5.3 in-place upgrade. It appears that every site reconfigured after the upgrade gets the following DirectoryIndex value in httpd.conf, for both http and https: DirectoryIndex "index.html" "index.cgi" "index.pl" "index.php" "index.xhtml" "index.htm" "index.shtml" Question...

Issue [PMT-4048] - [17.5.3] Plesk Panel migrator crashes on deploying the service plans

Changing collapse_ipv4_mask() in C:\Program Files (x86)\Plesk\admin\plib\modules\panel-migrator\backend\lib\python\parallels\core\utils\common\ip.py seems to have done the trick "for me"(c). The changes attached.

Question [17.5.3] Plesk default backup location on a remote FTP server

Thanks Igor, so no FTP for backup location location. That's fine, I've found another solution using local storage.

Question [17.5.3] Plesk default backup location on a remote FTP server

Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 Update #23 on Windows 2012 R2 After reading up on the backup/restore business in the Onyx admin guide I couldn't figure out if I can use a remote FTP server as the default/preferred backup location where all newly configured backup jobs will be created. Use case: - I have the...

Better, but not quite there yet. Question MariaDB 10.1 won't update to Mariadb10.2

Igor, we've been running MariaDB 10.2.8 on several Plesk 12.5.30 live servers for months now, including one Onyx instance and we haven't noticed any issues. When you say not supported, is it because it hasn't been tested by Plesk, or because it's been tested and it's not working?

Question [17.5.3] Can't set up CentOS 7 Plesk Onyx mirror properly

I think the behaviour is caused by using --copy-unsafe-links, I'm now testing with --copy-links and will report back.

Question [17.5.3] Can't set up CentOS 7 Plesk Onyx mirror properly

Hi, any suggestions on this one? Where to look and how to fix it? Just checked these 2 mirrors: Index of /plesk Index of /plesk/ They both contain NGINX_1.11.10 as well as PHP_7.1.9 directories. Why isn't my mirror updating those?

Question HTTP/2 Server Push for Apache possible?

I don't know of anyone running Apache with http/2 support on Plesk. It can be done, but it's very convoluted and you might run into various packaging issues - dependencies, yum priorities and all that. For CentOS 7 I've got a non-Plesk test server running Apache 2.4.27 with http/2 support, but...

Question [17.5.3] Can't set up CentOS 7 Plesk Onyx mirror properly

Been using the excellent Plesk mirror setup tool from Plesk Mirror Setup Tool v3.0.1 for quite some time for 12.5;30 and it's saved us plenty of time and bandwidth, so we'd like to add 17.5. Unfortunately I've got 2 dead links for NGINX17 and PHP71_17: ls -l NGINX17 PHP71_17 lrwxrwxrwx 1...

Resolved Plesk Onyx & CentOS 7.4 compatible?

Just upgraded the other day a CentOS 7 12.5.30 test instance to Onyx and it went generally well. The nginx binary from sw-nginx-1.11.10-centos7.17032813.x86_64 as shipped by Plesk is linked statically against OpenSSL 1.0.2k so it will survive the OpenSSL 1.0.1e->1.0.2k rebase just fine. The...

Issue mailmng-server error: Fatal error: boost::exception_detail::clone_impl

No Igor, it's not. This is a technical problem which smells like a bug, walks like a bug and quacks like a bug, so it's probably a bug which I can replicate easily following the steps already published. And I can't see how someone else, partner/reseller/etc can fix a technical problem in the...
