• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Question problem with delete email

The most obvious reason would be that one of the e-mail client applications is set to download and delete mail from the server.

Resolved Migration Tool - Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost'

If I understand correctly, all other clients / users / databases from this server can be migrated without an issue? I'd finish migrating everybody else than return to this site. And since you're in the hurry, I'd suggest trying a somewhat dirty workaround for it: - make a backup of the web...

Issue NGIX doesn't load index.php or any index

If I understand correctly, visiting / produces an empty page. How about visiting /index.php directly, also a blank page? I'm not sure that the redirect to index.php is the issue here... Are there any errors in the logs?

Issue Onyx to Obsidian - php problem

Which error do you see, that part is missing... In any case, you might need to re-register your custom PHP handlers. List them first, of course, check if that is indeed so... Plesk Documentation: php_handler: PHP Handlers

Resolved How to install SSH2 extension for PHP7.3

Plesk instructions that you've posted the link to are pretty much step-by-step. In regards to PHP, replace "7.0" in the instructions with "7.3" and "php70" with "php73". As for SSH2, replace "ssh2-1.1.2" with the version you need. I advise using the latest one unless there is a specific reason...

Question kind of a dumb question, but just making sure

Yes, this is correct, assuming that all the domains will use ns1 and ns2.mydomain.com as their DNS. Besides changing the DNS template, change also the DNS records of any domains that were added before the DNS template was changed. They should all have NS records pointing to your main domain ns1...

    Question DNS A-record to Plesk-Webspace?

Simply do for the second domain exactly as you did for the first, and it will work. You can have more than one domain using a single IP, if that is what is confusing you...

Wordpress databases still show in PHPMyAdmin after instance is deleted

Please verify that the databases really didn't get removed - look them up outside of the PHPMyAdmin, in Plesk and manually through a mysql client. If so, you might have stumbled on a bug. BTW, there are no directories when it comes to databases, I suspect you're just noticing how PHPMyAdmin...

Issue Messages with Unicode unable to pick up via IMAP after upgrade

Was anyone able to recreate this issue - so that we could test more easily, without involving the actual customers? Perhaps it would help if we could determine if there is a common setting or a piece of software involved. Could you all please post as much as you can about the system(s)...

Issue MySQL my.ini file settings overwritten

MySQL that serves customer databases uses %plesk_dir%\Databases\MySQL\my.ini and that's where custom settings should go. So indeed, in your case that would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Plesk\Databases\MySQL\my.ini. The %plesk_dir%\MySQL\my.ini is used by a different instance of MySQL, for Plesk...

Resolved Cronjob notices issue after obsidian upgrade

Well, there's your answer, right there in the results of the command you've ran... Edit the file: /etc/php.d/zend_extensions_psa.ini and put a semicolon at the beginning of the following line: zend_extension=/usr/local/Zend/lib/ZendExtensionManager.so so that it becomes...

Resolved Cronjob notices issue after obsidian upgrade

NO. If you delete the file or the entire directory containing it, without editing the configuration file that calls it, your web server will fail to start. I'm contemplating if helping you in this way is even the correct thing to do, or if one should simply insist that you should hire someone...

Issue Bandwidth highest user is my own server

Nothing really. It's the outside traffic that just appears like it's local. The default web server configuration in Plesk consists of Apache with Nginx in front of it. One might be observing the traffic on the last step, coming into Apache from Nginx and be lead to believe that it originates...

Issue Bandwidth highest user is my own server

Well, you might consider switching the company that is managing your server, as this is something they should be able to investigate. It might cost extra, depending on the level of service you're already paying for, but they should be able to do it. In any case, it would be best if someone...

Question I want to suppress the use of Apache memory

Without knowing how may connections are your web services handling, how much bandwidth your services use, etc., it's impossible to know whether the memory usage is actually high or not. Have you checked the logs to see how much activity is there? Did you observe other statistical and monitoring...

    Question Reverse DNS/PTR Record

Reverse DNS records are set by the provider that the IP's belong to. That would be your VPS/dedicated server/colocation provider. There will either be a separate control panel for that or you'll need to contact their support.

Resolved Cronjob notices issue after obsidian upgrade

You seem to have overlooked a previous post of mine. This will search for references of the ZendExtensionManager.so in additional locations: grep -R ZendExtensionManager.so /etc/php.d/ /etc/php-fpm.d /etc/php.ini This will tell you if the file belongs to a package: yum whatprovides...

Issue Plesk doesn't let out my mails to my email client!?

Uh... guys, there is no need to do that to your mail config. Please don't! The "status=sent (delivered via plesk_virtual service)" entry simply means that the recipient address is located on the same server as the mail is being sent from. Consequently, it is delivered locally and not sent out...
