• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Migration from 10.3.1 to 10.3.1 won't work: SNI is not supported

It turned out to be the customer that blocked it Well, I've answered my own question. I was about to move the site manually when I had an idea to try moving the domains without moving the customer that owned them. That seemed to work. I recreated the customer info at the other end and...

Migration from 10.3.1 to 10.3.1 won't work: SNI is not supported

I need to move an ecommerce website from one server to another. However, no matter what I try, I can't get it to go. Here's the error message that the migrator gives me: Warning: phosting "website.com" SNI is not supported. SSL certificate will not be restored on website.com Error...

    Plesk 10.2 - Trouble sending E-Mails to "freenet.de"

I see MU 10 has now been applied I checked the queue this morning. The message that was stuck in there has moved on. This evening I will start moving some customer domains. We'll see if there are any more stuck in the queue tomorrow.

    Plesk 10.2 - Trouble sending E-Mails to "freenet.de"

I'm still receiving the error I built a new server last week. Installed Plesk and started migrating domains there. However, I'm halted that process until I can get outgoing email issues resolved. Specifically, there are some messages that are just wedged in my outbound queue. In looking at the...

    10.3.1 - [error] unusably short session_id provided (0 bytes)

I figured this one out Kinda strange but it worked. I went to the IP address admin panel. I picked the IP address of the domain having problems. For the default domain, (which was selected as none) I picked my ecommerce site. After I did that, everything started working properly.

    10.3.1 - [error] unusably short session_id provided (0 bytes)

Let me too throw my hat in the ring Centos 5.6, Plesk 10.3.1 plus PHP 5.3 module. Happening to a website that I migrated over from another server where it was working fine...

    SSL Errors after migrating domain

Final resolution Since this was technically a migration issue from 9.5.4 to 10, I took advantage of the free support offer on these problems. A tech from Parallels gleefully logged into my server and fixed the problem. However, shortly thereafter some kind of loop somewhere must have been...

    SSL Errors after migrating domain

Further down the rabbit hole Since the only difference between my working domain with a dedicated IP and my non-working domain with a dedicated IP address seemed to be the presence of this "_ip_default" file, I thought that I'd dig deeper. In the /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/ directory I've...

    SSL Errors after migrating domain

More details The two sites on my server are both behind a firewall via NAT. The only difference I can find so far is that the working one has a /conf http.include file that ends with httpd_ip_default.include where the improperly functioning one ends with httpd.include Obviously Plesk must be...

    SSL Errors after migrating domain

I migrated one of my customer domains from a 9.5.4 Linux server to another on 10.3 . Now the secure side of the website is broken. I receive these errors from various browsers: Chrome: Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error. Firefox: An error occurred during a...

    Plesk SSL issues

I am getting this error on Linux I migrated a website from another of our Plesk servers to the current one. Now I'm getting this error on one site (but not all with SSL certs). Any ideas how to fix?

    Backups are failing. How come?

Nada Tino, there's nothing unusual that I can see. At this point it's just annoying so I'm not dropping everything to work on it. But it would be nice if it's fixed and it could be part of a larger unknown issue so I want to be sure that Parallels knows about it.

    Backups are failing. How come?

Sorry to keep disagreeing with you Tino, thanks so much for trying to be helpful. Actually, I've already checked that. All the files on the remote system are owned by the user account that receives them. And since I've expanded the number of tarballs that can be stored a few weeks ago, no...

    Backups are failing. How come?

Already did that Tino, I'm already using passive mode and already have the directory path as you had suggested. Still receiving the errors. The irony is that the backups see to be working. The tar files are on the remote server. But I would sure like to understand what the warning messages are...

    Backups are failing. How come?

Ditto I too have started receiving these messages since yesterday. Coincidentally, the day before that I had updated from 10.2 to 10.3.1 I've looked at my messages log on the receiving server from last night and nothing unusual is reported: FTP session opened followed shortly thereafter by a...

ftp functions on server behind NAT won't do outbound transfers

Plesk 10.2 on CentOS 5.6 . We've purchased a Virtual Machine with a local hosting company for hosting a web client. The provider's network assigns the VM a block of internal website addresses for use internally on their network and an external public IP address. NAT is used to do the translation...

Migration from 9.5.4 to 10.2 gets stuck at IP address assignment

I've solved it myself (with help from tech support) As it turns out, the problem was that nuanced. In order to successfully migrate a domain on an exclusive IP from one server to another, the destination server must have a dedicated IP address available. My mistake was that I had allocated the...

Migration from 9.5.4 to 10.2 gets stuck at IP address assignment

It might have been the dedicated vs. shared address issue, but... I'm still trying to get this to work. I realized that I might have been trying to break a rule by transferring from a dedicated IP on the old server to a shared one on the new. So I bought another IP address from 1&1 for the...

Migration from 9.5.4 to 10.2 gets stuck at IP address assignment

I've bought a VPS at 1&1 that has been updated to the most recent version of Plesk (10.2). I'm now ready to start moving websites from my old server running 9.5.4 to the new one. One of the reasons that I picked 1&1's server and 10.2 is that I've read that I can host multiple sites, all using...
