• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Mail transfer using local email client?

@learning_curve Thanks. Not getting really wiser though. I think I will create a test mailaccount ... then send and receive some messages in my local email client ... then delete the test account on the server and create a new account and connect it again with the local client and then see what...

Question Mail transfer using local email client?

@learning_curve Pfff, it may be too late but I'm not understanding very much of what you are saying. I use IMAP. My local email program (client) on my PC contains all folders and mails. The manufacturer of the local email client told me that the IMAP protocol does never delete mails without...

Question CentOS is shifting focus from CentOS 8 to CentOS Stream

@bazzil That is my question ... what is the more wise solution? CentOS 8 is newer and has for example dnf system to install and upgrade. If I can easily switch in the summer to Rocky Linux then I will stuck to CentOS 8 for now. But what is the probability that Rocky Linux will be finished in...

Question Mail transfer using local email client?

@learning_curve My local email client does indeed contain all my mails and folders. So the question is if the new and empty mail accounts on the new server will be synchronized with my local email client so the new mail accounts on the new server will also contain these folders and emails.

Question CentOS is shifting focus from CentOS 8 to CentOS Stream

@Peter Debik >> I'd wait until summer 2021 to make a decision how to proceed. Thanks for your reply. I have to install this new server very soon. I will start in a few days, so I have to make a decision right now. If it is really as easy as " the fork can be installed with a single command...

Question Mail transfer using local email client?

@learning_curve Thanks for you reply. The domain we are talking about does not contain anything else but only these 2 mail accounts. There is no website attached to the domain. That is why I don't need/want to migrate anything. I just want to setup a new domain (with the same domain name) on...

Question Mail transfer using local email client?

Thanks very much for your reply. However it was not my question. My question is if it will work if I create an empty account on my new server and then synchronize it with my local email client. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Question Mail transfer using local email client?

In a few days I will start installing a new (bigger) server to replace my old (smaller) server. The old server runs on Plesk Onyx. The new server will run on Plesk Obsidian. I run 2 personal mail accounts (IMAP) on the old server which must be transfered to the new server once it is installed...

Question CentOS is shifting focus from CentOS 8 to CentOS Stream

The last few weeks I've been running tests with CentOS 8 so I could install it on a new server. The tests came out fine and I was happy because CentOS 8 would be supported until 2029. And now this ... what a huuuuge dissapointment! Question is what should I do with the new server? I don't like...

    Resolved Domain status disabled/suspended unclear

@IgorG By the way ... is there also a query I could use to directly get the status OK or suspended? Right now I use "sudo plesk bin site --info [site name]" command to get all domain info, and then I use grep to get the "Domain status". Is there an easier/better way to do this by using a query?

    Resolved Domain status disabled/suspended unclear

Thank you Igor, that is really helpful! Last question: when I execute the query (without d.name) I get to see some sort of visual 'table'. But all I actually need is the value of dp.val without the visualtable. In other words, I only need the word 'disable' or 'suspend'. Is that somehow...

Are you sure you are in debug mode? Documentation states this header will only be added in debug mode.

    Resolved Domain status disabled/suspended unclear

Hi, I want to use CLI/bash to be able to enable, disable or suspend a domain. I am also trying to write a bash script that shows all enabled/disabled/suspended domains. There seems to be a problem with the domain status though, or maybe I am doing something wrong? I use "sudo plesk bin site...
