  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Why no Plesk buttons for mysql service?

    I would imagine the new version of Plesk for *nix is going to copy the Windows version. Plesk 7.5 for Windows uses two seperate installs of MySQL - one for clients, one for plesk itself. It also has a root/admin based phpMyAdmin interface for the client side database.

    I upgraded a server last night from 7.0 to 7.5, it didnt go too well! If you plan on upgrading wait till 7.5.4 as jaytee told me they have rewrote/redesigned the upgrade system. Also, I've been told it should be next week when 7.5.4 is released if all goes well.

    What version of Plesk are you using? If you arent running 7.5.3 you should upgrade.

    I have 7.5.3 on a 2003 Web Edition test server with SP1. Ensure you upgrade Plesk to 7.5.x before installing SP1 if you are running 7.0.x at the moment.
