• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Where the **** is Migration???????

Darn that seems drastic but basically you're saying that we're not going to be seeing the migration manager anymore and need to use an old version? I've not seen anyone else sharing their thoughts so we don't really know do we?

    Where the **** is Migration???????

So if you're right, what do you think is the solution? Everything I've read seems to lead to all sorts of problems. I very badly need to move a server and need some way of ensuring a reliable migration. Thanks for any help you can provide, sure wish these new owners would take the time to...

How do I.. migrate all users, domains from Plesk 9 to Plesk 9?

I was using the command line backup/restore method until about a year ago and it seemed to work fine. But migration seemed to be a better way to go since you can set up the new machine then simply migrate everything over. One thing the migration tool also broke was everyone's address books and...

    where is migration manager ?

Just noticed that also. Guessing no one knows what the plans are. Maybe they want to turn it into a money making opportunity for those of us who badly need to migrate this to another machine? The longer it's not included, the more they stand to make by those who give up and pay extra support...

    Convert Plesk to VMware?

I like the idea of simply installing a new distro then migrating it across. I usually contact them before I make such changes so that I have my license handy. If that's all it takes, I think I'm going to get on it soon. Thanks for the input folks! Mike

    Convert Plesk to VMware?

Don't I have to upgrade or purchase something? If not, I'd love to do that and take advantage of the virtual environment I've built. Mike

    Convert Plesk to VMware?

Can you tell me how things have gone? I am trying to understand the difference between buying the VMware version (not sure there's a cost to change over?) vs converting my physical machine to a guest. Also, my machine is linux and has a two drive RAID1 setup so I need to get past that in...

    Convert Plesk to VMware?

I've moved a lot of my physical servers over to VMware and have been thinking/wondering about doing the same thing with my 8.x plesk installation. Has anyone else done this? Mike

Need redirect port 25 out to spam server

No, just restarting qmail is all it takes, for me at least :).

Need redirect port 25 out to spam server

If you're looking for the outgoing part, all you do is edit the /var/qmail/control/smtproute file adding what ever you wish to redirect to; :192.168.44.25 for example, or another port, etc. Mike

    Qmail: Redundant Outgoing Path

I have my plesk outgoing mail going to a spam server/relay which then sends to Internet. However, if that relay goes down, plesk won't be able to send out. How can I add a little redundancy to my outgoing plesk so that if the spam server is down, outgoing mail could instead be sent directly...

    "Sender Rejected" from local relay

My setup is that mail comes into a spam server, then is sent to a local relay, which forwards the mail to plesk. MY problem is that plesk is not accepting the email with the following error; [00]2008-11-08 04:02:19.070871500 delivery 35: failure...

Need redirect port 25 out to spam server

    >I'm not talking about using the php or perl mail() function here. I'm talking about things that do >everything themselves. Understood and that works just fine for me. After adding the new route, do I just restart qmail from the command line or mail server via plesk? Mike

Need redirect port 25 out to spam server

Yes, I found that but I ended up creating a loop because the spam server is not ready yet. I am assuming this will allow for ALL email being redirected, meaning, webmail users and mail client users. Also, I had a slightly different method since I needed the port to be different. Can you...

    Assp

Hi, can you explain this a little. I'm trying to find a way of having plesk send it's outgoing mail to the spam server rather than directly. I see that submission would allow a different outgoing port but not an IP? Mike
