• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Setting PHP.ini on a per domain basis ??

I use a .htaccess file in the directory I want affected and use the same commands as the php.ini file uses. For instance, globally I have magic_quotes turned off. Yet for some apps it is required, such as WebCalendar in the Application Vault. So in the WebCalendar directory I insert a .htaccess...

How do I change the hostname?

In your control panel, click on "Server" then "Server Preferences" - you'll see where you can change the hostname. What I normally do then is through SSH do: #hostname new.host.name This works for RedHat and CentOS.

Plesk servers below 8 can be easely hacked, for v8 and above other problems!

I must say I completely agree with Who-m3. Plesk is here to help you offer your clients an easy, effective way to run their businesses on the web. It's a control panel - not a security product. It's YOUR responsibility to secure the server - that's why your clients pay you. Your blaming Plesk...

    Install Command Via SSH

What OS is on the box? If it is a RedHat type version it should have yum installed already. See if /etc/yum.conf exists. If not try using up2date to install yum. #up2date -i yum

Restore domain from 7.5 to 8.0.1

The 7.5.4 backup will not restore on an 8.0.x system. You could try to update the old server to 8.0.1 and then use the PMM to migrate everything to the new server. If you contact Plesk they will give you a temporary key to make this happen.

In case you still haven't solved this - I was getting the same error. Check in /usr/share/spamassassin and see if you have a file named 10_misc.cf. Around line 45 add a value after report__contact like: report_contact admin@domain.com That should do it.

    About install problem with librpmio

Cross-posting is a bad thing, you should only post in one forum. That being said, I guess you need to install the librpmio-4.1.so rpm. Run a Google on it and you'll see plenty of places to download from, although Plesk's download page says the latest SuSE version supported is 10.0.
