• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Better hardware and pigz, yet worse backup performance

I just finished a server migration, migrating subscriptions on the old server from Plesk 11, to a clean Plesk 12 install on the new server. One of the things I was most excited about was the potential for pigz to reduce the high server loads for my overnight backups. I'm getting the opposite...

    Plesk 12 and Centos 7

I'm running several servers with Plesk 12 and CentOS 6.5, and it's been a good, stable solution for me. I'm getting ready to deploy some upgraded hardware, and I am trying to decide whether or not to use Centos 6.6 or Centos 7. Interested in hearing from folks about how their Plesk + CentOS 7...

Plesk 11 to Plesk 12 migration and subscription limits

I migrated several Plesk 11 for Windows domains to a Plesk 12 for Windows server Web Admin edition. One of the inboxes had a 100MB limit in the mail accounts area, and that appears to be subscription related, but I cannot edit the subscription on the Web Admin edition, so I cannot seem to...

Igor, I was able to install the 64 bit of the aspell-en package, reset my configuraton to use aspell instead of hunspell, and all is working now. Thank you for the tips!

Plesk 11 Horde 4.3.11 spell check

Plesk 11 Horde 4.3.11 spell check

Igor, thanks for the follow up. That got me part of the way there; hunspell was already installed and configured, and I have changed the config file to use hunspell, which it is now doing. The dictionary parameter for American english used in /etc/psa-webmail/horde/horde/nls.php is...

Plesk 11 Horde 4.3.11 spell check

I have a relatively new, clean install of Plesk 11.0.9 on CentOS 6.3 (Final), and i have just finished migrating domains to it from two older Plesk Linux servers. One of my customers is reporting that spell checking doesn't work in Horde. After some poking around, I found that the aspell...

    Security problem with filemng

I don't know enough about Plesk's inner workings to know if a reboot clears the sessions table.

    Security problem with filemng

Did you delete all of the current sessions before changing the passwords?

    Security problem with filemng

I was patched on one server, unpatched on another. Both were penetrated. After patching the second server, then changing the client account passwords, the Plesk logs show the exploits are failing at the control panel login. I'm also using corncrake's script via cron for monitoring the...

    Autoresponder not working

Still no solution This problem is driving me up a tree. It's actually worse than before, because in addition to complete failures, some clients report that old, previously deleted autoresponders are sent. I am at my wits end on this. Anyone?

    Autoresponder not working

Michael, sorry you are having the same problem as me, but glad to hear another voice in the wilderness. Does Parallels not care about supporting critical lapses in functionality for it's products? The lack of responsiveness is disheartening.

    Autoresponder not working

Hello all. I first experienced this problem with Plesk for Windows 8.2. When setting up autoresponders in the Plesk control panel, nothing happened. No auto response was sent. I got in the habit of using the Mailenable console interface to set up auto responses for a couple of clients...

    Firewall module

I found the firewall module after realizing I was using locate without being root. D'oh. Too many late nights recovering a downed server... Got the rpm installed and have access to the firewall. Many thanks for the help provided here.

    Backup the plesk data

Here's what it looks like in my weekly cron job: /usr/local/psa/bin/psadump -f backupfilename --nostop --nostop-domain You can modify the above to include a client ID list file., which is what I do for my nightly backup. This is essential reading: Plesk 7.5 reloaded backup/restore...

    Firewall module

I've got a couple of Plesk 7.5.2/CentOS boxes that came with the firewall module already available. I just took delivery on a Plesk 7.5.4/Red Hat Enterprise 3 box, and the firewall module (nor any other modules) are shown. Is this an error or some sort of licensing change? How do I get...
