• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Suggestion: Restrict role to domain

I have a couple of different domains in a subscription. It would be useful if a role could be restricted to a specific domain, so that an authorised individual could, for example, manage the email for a specified domain, but not those belonging to other domains.

    Optional PECL extension installation

Be nice if the PECL packages such as uploadprogress could be optionally selected and installed with a simple checkbox in our Control Panel, either server wide, or per subscription, or per website.

    php-MySQLnd conflicts with PHP-MySQL

Can anyone help? Can I disable PHP-MySQL Client Library (libmysql), and enable php-MySQLnd (native driver), without causing problems with Plesk 11?

    php-MySQLnd conflicts with PHP-MySQL

My host tells me that my client is getting a php-MySQLnd conflict with PHP-MySQL Client Library (libmysql), even though the the PHP manual indicates that the MySQLnd library is part of the 5.3.0 distribution. Is there something my client can do to fix this, or a workaround at the client or...

Activate mail service on domain not available

Thanks for the confirmation. But it seems that there are two workarounds: 1. It works for aliased domains, so you could make your domain an alias 2. There is a command line utility that enables this. So I'd like to make this a feature request.

Activate mail service on domain not available

I can't seem to disable mail for certain domains. a. In a particular webspace, under the Mail tab, there is the option "Change Settings" with a checkbox "Activate mail service on domain". But this seems to apply to the whole webspace, not a particular domain. b. Under the "Websites &...

    Directory permissions resets to 755

I'm running a CMS that has a directory set to 777. Periodically, perhaps every couple of weeks, the directory permissions (and subdirectories) are automatically changed to 755. I don't think the CMS is doing this. Is there something in Plesk that might do this? A Plesk update? Something else...

    Restrict role to domain

If I could restrict a user to only designated domains in a subscription, then I could give them limited access to only certain websites in my subscription. For example, if I have several customer websites in one subscription, I could let them manage their own email (I know they should have their...

    Domain Alias Separate Email Account

I think I have this solved. It seems that when you "Add New Domain", your can set its document root to an existing website. The new domain gets its own email facilities, and it is then aliased to the existing website. Simply! I was worried that it might copy the installation files to the...

    Logwatch relevance to Plesk

I believe that the Logwatch file I receive via email each day, is sent by the operating system, and not Plesk. It would be useful to have a summary explanation of some of the Logwatch entries, and how they relate to Plesk, for example, are there Plesk settings that need to be made to "fix"...

Domain aliases to have their own unique email

I can of see where you're coming from. I only suggested the alias feature having the required features, because that is how my old non-Plesk server worked. The frames solution is a non-starter. I don't think Drupal would work this way, and I think it is a bit of kludge. The Apache virtual...

Domain aliases to have their own unique email

I need aliased domains to have their own unique email facilities. I have: www.customer.com www.different.com (aliased to customer.com, but a different customer!) Each domain belongs to a different customer, so each must have their own mailbox and forward rules. The domains are aliased...

    Domain Alias Separate Email Account

This is very important to solve. I have: www.customer.com www.different.com (aliased to customer.com, but a different customer!) Each domain belongs to a different customer, so each must have their own mailbox and forward rules. The domains are aliased because they share the same...

    File Manager Permissions: numeric option

The File Managers Permission window shows a table of checkboxes for Read mode | Write mode | Execute, against Provider, Group and Other. Much software installs use a numeric equivalent, eg. 777 = all checked. 1. It would be useful to (a) display the numeric equivalent, (b) allow the customer...

    Global image?

Can't I "just" specify an relative filename (inside the webspace), and then alias it to another location. For example, I have: /var/www/vhosts/mylibrary/files/ /var/www/vhosts/domain1.com/httpdocs/ /var/www/vhosts/domain1.com/domain2.com/ /var/www/vhosts/domain3.com/httpdocs/ And then...

    Global image?

If I'm not mistaken, skeleton will let me duplicate the contents. But if I want to save on disk space, how can I get one domain to access files on the webspace of another? I'm guessing some tweaks to httpd.conf will do it (and securely, since it is read-only), but I'm out of my depth here.

    Global vhost.conf/httpd.conf?

I note that if I want to customise the contents of a domain's httpd.conf, I create and add the directives to /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/conf/vhost.conf But if I want to make changes that affect all domains, where do I put them? I don't want to create an httpd.conf for each domain, and surely...

    Global image?

When I create a new subscription, I'd like my default home page to include a couple of videos that are accessed from a single location. I don't want to duplicate each on in every subscription, eg. my subscriptions/domains: /var/www/vhosts/mylibrary/files/...
