• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

can't disable services in plesk 10.4.4

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, this doesn't help: Tomcat is restarted. Did I forget anything? -I've commented out the "Tomcat" section in /usr/local/psa/etc/modules/watchdog/monitrc -I've stopped watchdog with /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/modules/watchdog/wdservice monit stop...

Ok, can you advice on what to do, please? I didn't have this issue in the past, has this changed recently?

can't disable services in plesk 10.4.4

Thanks for the suggestion, but this has the same effect as: -killing tomcat manually (via 'kill') -stopping the service from the Plesk interface ('services management') All (3) Tomcat processes do stop, but restart within the minute. Ron

can't disable services in plesk 10.4.4

Hi, What is the way to disable services in Plesk 10.4.4 on an Ubuntu Linux server? While the documentation (Administrator's Guide, section 'System Time and Services') says the 'Services Management' section of the Plesk interface should contain a 'disable' button, I only see 'start', 'stop'...

    stop plesk from restarting tomcat

Hi, I have replaced Plesk's built-in Tomcat with a standalone version. I thought I had turned off Tomcat from Plesk's control panel. Yet, after a recent restart of the server, I noticed that Plesk keeps restarting its own Tomcat instance everytime I have turned it off. Has anything changed...

    tomcat unpack war files

Ah yes, I remember having tried that as well: 1. setting "unpackWARs=true" in Tomcat's server.xml file 2. manually unpacking the .war file 3. restarting Tomcat If I recall correctly, it seemed to work with one catch: restarting Java applications via the 'switch off/switch on' control...

    tomcat unpack war files

Hi, Unfortunately, no resolution back then. I created a ticket (#747580, don't know if it is publicly accessible), which has been closed on following bottom line: "I am afraid that currently there is no way - unpackWARs is hardcoded to "no" in Plesk. We already have request submitted to...

Integrating external Tomcat 6 with plesk

Hi Robin, Could you please explain how you achieved that? I'm having trouble with Plesk's Tomcat behaviour regarding unpacking of .war files and am considering switching to an external Tomcat. A short summary of necessary steps would be much appreciated! Cheers, Ron

    tomcat unpack war files

Hi, After setting up Tomcat Java applications by uploading its .war file in Plesk, I hit different errors that all point to files not being found (java.io.FileNotFoundException, org.apache.cocoon.ResourceNotFoundException, HTTP 500 status, ...). I found the cause with the default...
