• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Request is invalid response yet request seems ok

Thanks for that, it did help me get to a solution in the end. The actual correct way to do it for 1.6.0.0> for anyone interested is: <packet version="1.6.0.0"> <domain> <set> <filter> <domain-name>domain.com</domain-name> </filter> <values>...

How to get domain administrator password using API

Hi, I have looked through all the documentation and can't seem to find any reference to getting the domain administrator password via the API. It seems you can get the FTP password but not the domain administrator password, surely this cannot be right seeing as it's not even encrypted in...

    Alias with vhost.conf

You should be able to do it that way, you have to create the vhost.conf in: /var/www/vhosts/domain/conf/vhost.conf I assume you already tried this?

Plesk upgrade resets default webmail handler, client and domain templates

I found out later, an easier way is to go to your domain list in Plesk, select all, click modify and then you can change the webmail client used for all your domains at once.

Runtime error when backing up some domains

This was solved in the end, it looked to be caused by an incorrectly formatted email address for one of the domains.

"posix" enable?? (to run script installer)

Hi Frank, I assuming this script installer you are trying to get working is "Softaculous"? If so, I was having the same problem so followed your advice however when trying to access the scripts as the user, I just get the error: ERROR IN SHIFTING TO USER LEVEL Do you have any idea...

    Plesk Skins/Interface

I agree with the above. If you disable things for the domain administrator to see, you should still be able to see them when logged in as admin. And even if you disable "Applications", you can still see it in the side navigation menu when logged in as domain administrator.

Plesk upgrade resets default webmail handler, client and domain templates

Until this is fixed, there is a quick way to restore all domains to use your chosen webmail client. First, create a list of all your domain names which can be done easily via MySQL: mysql -uadmin -p<password> use psa select name from domains; Then, once you have the list, save it as a...

Notification Email after Migrating to GMail

If you disable mail for the domain, it will do a proper lookup on the MX record rather than trying to deliver locally.

Add DNS records via API bug?

I have actually found a temporary solution: /usr/local/psa/bin/dns --on domain Seems to send a notify to the secondary nameserver which puts it back in sync. Whilst this workaround kind of works for now, I still think this issue does need addressing :)

Add DNS records via API bug?

Thanks for the information. Thinking about it, when you click the "update" button in Plesk for a DNS zone after making updates to it, does this run a script on the server that actually does the update that I'd be able to run from command line? If so, I'm thinking one workaround would be to...

Runtime error when backing up some domains

Hi everyone, Hope you can help here as I've been unable to find a solution so far. When I backup certain domains, I get the following error: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <execution-result status="error"> <object name="domain.dom" type="domain"> <message...

Add DNS records via API bug?

This is a shame, as it's causing a major problem for me - nobody can update DNS records due to replication to secondary nameserver being out of sync. If you update the records via Plesk directly, it works fine. I think this is because you make all the updates to the records and then you click...

It seems like the example in your documentation is wrong, if you use <perms></perms> instead of <permissions></permissions> then it works ok.

Domain administrator permissions not set through API

Hi, When creating an account in Plesk using the API, the domain administrator permissions are not granted as they should be: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><packet version="1.4.1.0"><domain> <add> <gen_setup> <name>testing.co.uk</name> <ip_address>*.*.*.*</ip_address>...
