• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Incorrect email headers for authenticated sessions (ESMTPA)

No, I haven't tried it yet as I host around 300 domains and I'm concerned it could possibly break during the changeover, especially in relation to Spam Assassin or ClamAV. Does Postfix put "ESMTPA" in the Received headers for authenticated sessions?

    Atmail Plesk 9.0.0 installation patch

This is also an issue for us. I can't believe Plesk didn't test webmail to make sure it was working. Can someone confirm - 1) Will Plesk provide an fix or update to atmail latest version (currently 5.6) in the near future? 2) Will it be part of some Plesk 9.0.1 update (when is that due?) or...

Incorrect email headers for authenticated sessions (ESMTPA)

ESMTPA Qmail Plesk Issue I've tested by sending via port 587 also. It bypasses the 'stage 1' spam blocking (MAPS, set in Plesk), but the emails still then go via the 'stage 2' spam filter (Spam Assassin) which triggers the dynamic IP rules (and 'no reverse dns' rules etc.). Back to the...

Incorrect email headers for authenticated sessions (ESMTPA)

We use the standard smtp port (25). I don't think changing the port would make a difference to email headers, as it's still using the same qmail server. Does anyone know when this will be implemented in Plesk? Surely others are having the same problem?

Incorrect email headers for authenticated sessions (ESMTPA)

What is stopping your dynablock (dynamic IP) rules from being triggered? (when you connect to the smtp server from a typical dynamic IP address). Here are the typical headers for emails sent from our customers to other customers on the same server - X-Spam-Level: ****** X-Spam-Status: No...

Make Qmail RFC 3848 compliant (show 'ESMTPA' in email headers)

Because the version of Qmail that is distributed with Plesk isn't patched to be RFC 3848 compliant, it causes authenticated (customer) emails to be marked as spam. This is discussed here - http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?t=55300 Parallels - Can you PLEASE patch qmail so it's RFC...

Incorrect email headers for authenticated sessions (ESMTPA)

The problem : Spam Assassin is marking all internal emails (sent via authenticated SMTP sessions by our customers to another email address on our server) as spam. This is because qmail isn't RFC 3848 compliant. It isn't marking the 'Recieved' header as ESMTPA instead of ESMTP. Here is an...

watchdog says spamassassin is down bug STILL not fixed!

That happens with any bug tracking. It's up to the people in charge of it to filter out the dodgy bug reports. This is what's done with any bug tracker. If it can work for hugely popular software like PHP (see http://bugs.php.net/) then it can work for Parallels/Plesk. Having to submit bug...

watchdog says spamassassin is down bug STILL not fixed!

Parallels/Plesk really need to have a publicly accessible bug tracker (at least for current Plesk owners) so we can report and track bugs/issues. It should also include bugs/issues related to the integration of Plesk with 3rd party applications, even if it isn't officially a bug in the Plesk...

watchdog says spamassassin is down bug STILL not fixed!

If that's the case, then I guess the options are - 1) Wait for Plesk 8.4 and hope it will have the fix as mentioned above 2) Create a cron job which copies your version of the file over the buggy version updated by Plesk. Schedule it to run on a regular (ie. hourly or daily) basis, so it keeps...

    phpBB new version 3.x

I'm also keen to install phpbb3 via Plesk. Does anyone know how to do this via Plesk? I can see the option "Add new site application package" in Plesk, but I don't know how to use this feature.

Plesk 8.3 Bug (and bug fix) - Watchdog spamassassin problem

There is a bug with Watchdog in Plesk 8.3. Watchdog doesn't get the response it expects from Spamassassin so it incorrectly thinks Spamassassin is permanently down, and it stops checking Spamassassin after 5 attempts. The fix is simple - Update "SPAMD/1.2 0 PONG" to "SPAMD/1.4 0 PONG"...

    spamassassin restart every night

UPDATE - There is now a fix for this issue, as explained at http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?t=50242 SUMMARY - All you have to do is change "SPAMD/1.2 0 PONG" to "SPAMD/1.4 0 PONG" in /usr/local/psa/etc/modules/watchdog/monitrc

watchdog says spamassassin is down bug STILL not fixed!

It looks like someone has removed a line from your file. Here is mine. I've now updated that line and it's worked fine. Thanks Tany! Legend!!! Does Plesk have a bug tracker somewhere, so we can submit bug reports and see the status of existing bugs? # SpamAssassin check process...

    Redhat Plesk installed on Centos

Hi Atomic. Thanks for your replies. I've never used yum before, but today I've tried upgrading a few psa components. I updated psa-watchdog without any problems. However when I try to update the others it's giving 'Missing Dependency' errors. I'm really not keen to muck around with...

    Redhat Plesk installed on Centos

Thanks for the quick reply! I was hoping someone would say that! Hopefully when there is a newer Centos build for plesk (with a newer build date/number than the currently installed Redhat version) it will simply update to the new Centos build. HOWEVER... I've just noticed 3 other error...

    Redhat Plesk installed on Centos

I have somehow ended up with redhat versions of most (if not all) Plesk components on my server. The problem is that it's a Centos server. Either the hosting company installed the redhat version of Plesk by accident, or my sys admins have somehow installed redhat plesk updates. Now plesk...
