• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    sFTP Feature Request

Yes, I agree, sFTP is something that is a real requirement. ~Matt

    FTP Subaccounts!!!

<RANT> Erm, I don't agree with that at all. Not even a little bit. In fact, you shouldn't be running a web-hosting company / server if you know nothing about Linux. Yes, everyone has to start somewhere, but that somewhere is not with your own dedicated web-hosting server. Control Panels are...

    FTP Subaccounts!!!

Yes, I definitely would like to see this one in Plesk. Sub-FTP accounts. ~Matt

What a mess this 7.5 upgrade is!

Yeah, I for one learned this lesson a while ago! I'm _just now_ upgrading from 6.0.2 to 7.1.6. Now 7.5.0 just came out, so I'll probably upgrade to it in several months :D I guess in SW-Soft's defence, this problem isn't specific to SW-Soft and Plesk. It's common to all software development...

    Please Wait Loading

Hey Joel, I'm pretty sure it has it's use. Probably to not allow you to click on anything until the page fully loads to prevent JavaScript errors in the page. ~Matt

    Please Wait Loading

Really really annoying. It's nice conceptually, but in practice I freakin' hate it. They probably do it so you can't click on something before the whole page loads (so JavaScript doesn't screw up). I run into that in my own web-applications. People are often clicking before the whole thing...

    Feature-requests for Plesk 7.1's successor

I think that displaying the size of each e-mail account on the "Mail" page would be extremely useful. I often get e-mails from people who's domain is over their limits and they're not sure who to contact within their organisation to delete their old mail from the server. This would be very...

    Feature-requests for Plesk 7.1's successor

I'd also find it useful to have an "Administrator Notes" area somewhere in the interface that was available to the admin only. Just a little textarea or something that I could type a bit of info in either for future reference or for another admin to see or something. I think this would be...

    Feature-requests for Plesk 7.1's successor

Nope. Not that I'm aware of. You scan e-mail three times for viruses? That's a bit overkill isn't it? ~Matt

    Feature-requests for Plesk 7.1's successor

This is how qMail handles internal mail delivery, it's not a Plesk thing. Did you turn off the "Mail" feature for the domain you're trying to route to the exchange server? ~Matt

    Feature-requests for Plesk 7.1's successor

Okay, it would be useful for some companies; however, if all of their site was done in .NET, they would likely want to host their website on a Windows server. Wait, besides that, I'm pretty sure it's not even possible anymore to host MS-ASP on Unix/Linux. It used to be done through Chillisoft...

Maybe in the Windows version, not in the real version :D ~Matt

    Feature-requests for Plesk 7.1's successor

Yeah, WebDAV would be cool. I could set up iCal to publish to my Plesk server among other things. This would be super simple to implement as well. ~Matt

    Feature-requests for Plesk 7.1's successor

    - Master Control Panel On/Off switch to control whether clients can log in or not (like forum software has) which would be useful prior to and after upgrades. - Jabber support might be a pretty cool option to be able to offer your clients. Their own IM server, with transports to AIM, ICQ...
