• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Restore database from server repository zip

No, never did. Haven't updated that box to 11.5 yet though, so maybe it's been included.

change the root for subsequent domains.

Also to speak to your original question, when I first saw that behaviour I couldn't figure out what was going on, it makes no sense why they do what they are doing. I've got a list of "things that drive me crazy about Plesk" and thanks to your post it reminded me to add this one.

change the root for subsequent domains.

It seems that there is one person, Igor, that replies to these sometimes. Overall I'm getting pretty disheartened by this product - we have an older grandfathered license so I don't think we're getting hosed as badly as new customers are, however are some of you really paying upwards of...

Oh yeah, totally. I'm adding that one to my list of stuff that Plesk doesn't do that makes no sense.

Migrating from one ples to another...

I'm no wizard with cacls but I believe it is the tool you need. It's outside of the scope of what Plesk can do, it grabs NTFS file permissions from files. Have a look here - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753525(v=ws.10).aspx - and look for the word save as you can save the...

problem in restore backup from mysql management studio 2008

In your options when you are doing the restore (on the left side of the window I believe) did you check off the "Overwrite this database" checkbox?

Enabling antivirus/spam by default on new email accounts

Hi guys, I've got an odd issue that I can't seem to find the setting for. When I add a new email address and click on either the Spam Filter or Antivirus tab the following checkboxes are unchecked: Spam Filter - Switch on spam filtering for this e-mail address Antivirus - Switch on...

    Change Reseller

I just found this thread while trying to determine how to do this in Plesk 11. Unless I'm missing something obvious, it looks like this never got added to Plesk 11 either. The shortcomings I'm seeing with Plesk really are difficult to understand who made these decisions. I have another big issue...

Restore database from server repository zip

I have daily backups for all accounts setup on our Plesk 11 server and was wondering how I would go about restoring a single database from the backup manager? I could restore the entire zip file, but that would make a mess of any other databases which of course isn't optimal. I see if I download...

    Multiple IP addresses per subsription

That reseller option might be a good workaround, thanks for the idea. Any idea when SNI is going to be available for Windows hosts as we're currently a Windows shop but will be wanting to launch a Linux service as well in the future. I've also voted, thanks for the link.

    Multiple IP addresses per subsription

Before I go into too much detail, I'm aware that what's in the subject isn't possible. I've read as such elsewhere and been in a week long discussion with Parallels support trying to get my ticket escalated to someone who can provide me a reasonable workaround that doesn't include giving away...
