• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    DrWEB-DAEMON postmaster messages

the originating server is 127.0.0.1, aka localhost. It doesn't check emails on it's own server. Granted it did not actually get generated locally, but that's what the email says. Very good indication that it's SPAM anyway.

    Odd network issues?

Okay, this has nothing to do with my domain name DNS configuration in the "ns" name server. This has to do with a file on my server's hard drive called "/etc/resolv.conf" that has a bad IP address in it. I would like to discover the new "nameserver" ip addres for my dedicated server. That...

    Odd network issues?

looks like I may have found part of the problem. The /etc/resolv.conf file contains a single IP address. That IP address is non-responsive, so I can only guess that whatever it's using for DNS is down. I added in an address from opendns.org until I can get the ISP to look into it. The good...

offloading mail to a real mail server

I'm offloading mail from the plesk server to a real mail server. Question is can I configure the plesk server to "relay" mail coming in to the new mail server? If so, how to do this? I realize that there's the whole "after 24 hours it will fix itself" thing, but I want to forward all mail to...

plesk doesn't update (but thinks it does)

I just went through the UI updater program about a dozen times. Everything updates but the base package and the Migration Manager. The email I get even says "success" but I go back into the control panel to find that it wants to upgrade me from 8.1.1 to 8.2, so I do it (again). Although I...

domain alias directing to wrong domain?

just ran the plesk updater from the server control panel -- it updated plesk "base packages of plesk", updated on February 1st. Apparently not a big enough update to affect the version number 8.1.0

domain alias directing to wrong domain?

Well, it must be a known issue since none of the related posts are answered. Be nice to find a workaround, though. Even if it's temporary.

domain alias directing to wrong domain?

Well, this is kind of different than other similar posts I've seen because other (older) domain aliases setup seem to be working fine. Just the latest two I've added to a client's domain seem to be freaking out. The other one I setup some months back seems to be working fine
