• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Typing in bubba.somedomain.com reports cant open the page http://bubba.somedomain.com/ because it cant find the server bubba.somedomain.com. There are other plesk hosts that have figured this out. For example, I'm still doing some hosting outside of my server through another provider. I...

I don't know why this is happening, but it is very curious to say the least. A client called me today and asked why typing "mail.theirdomain.com" in their browser is displaying "www.anotherdomain.com" Honestly, I had never thought to put the SMTP address in an internet browser -- but the...

change default site IP address displays?

If you type the server's IP address in your web browser, it will display one of the sites being hosted on that IP. I forget how to control which one shows up? Thanks!

    Changing Default FTP directory permissions?

ftp permissions still a question I am having similar frustration with the default ftp folder permissions. On one site, we upload a folder full of pictures and other media. Once accessed from the web end, PHP will attempt to create a directory and move some stuff around -- HOWEVER, the...

    can't reach NS2 subdomain?

Still no change. Currently ns1 and ns2 are unpingable from ssh -- so it's still an internal configuration problem. Is the DNS Zone Template Page the only place I am required to add subdomains?

    can't reach NS2 subdomain?

I don't see any subdomains in named.conf. i did add ns, ns1, and ns2 at domain registration. ns works all the time, ns1 works sometimes, and ns2 works never. what's weird is they don't even work when I'm logged into the machine. I do a ping from the server that they reside on, and...

Okay, I created two subdomains the other day, NS1 and NS2. I could ping them yesterday, but now things are getting nutty. Here's what my DNS zone template page shows for the entries <domain>. NS ns.<domain>. <domain>. NS ns1.<domain>. <domain>. NS ns2.<domain>. ns.<domain>. A <ip>...
