• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Turning NGINX on breaks SSL Chain

still broken Dear Sergius, I've tested this on two separate servers now who are both on updated to "11.0.9 Update #10" and enabling nginx STILL breaks the SSL chain for all the websites (They are all using RapidSSL certs from enom). Rebuilding the config files using...

Turning NGINX on breaks SSL Chain

That workaround works for us. The only thing that doesn't work is the SSL chain is still broken when using nginx.

Turning NGINX on breaks SSL Chain

It seems that this bug and even the "PHP pages redirect to port 7080 or 7081 if Nginx is enabled." bug are still not fixed. The microupdate log says that that bug was fixed via Update #9 but I've verified that its still broken. The only workaround for that bug was to follow...

Turning NGINX on breaks SSL Chain

The plesk microupdates say that this is fixed as of Parallels Plesk Panel 11.0.9 Update #10. We updated to Update #10 and rebuilt all the config files and this is still broken. We tested using http://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html and with nginx enabled it breaks the chain. Mac OSX Lion...

Ban IP after X login attempts

At least a captcha This should really be on the development list. If not banning the IP address then at least add a captcha after X failed attempts. If I view all our plesk server access logs then you can see distributed attacks with people trying to bruteforce the plesk admin panel.

    Discussion of plesk ui usability

For both 1 and 2 I guess it just sin't apparent that specific tasks are only available by clicking on the subscription -> "websites and domains" -> click on the domain -> Now you have access to enable ssl etc. It seams that most tasks were a lot less clicks in plesk 9 (and even less clicks in...

    Discussion of plesk ui usability

Some areas that need work Here are some areas that need some work: 1. Creating a domain forwards (I had to hunt to find this now). 2. SSL certificate installation and setup is confusing. 3. Email user management. (Changing a password for an email is in two different places depending on if...

There is no IP address 67.23.xxx.yyy in the pool

Paid to have it fixed. After waiting too long we just paid Parallels to fix this. It had to get escalated to a level 2 support person. They were able to fix the issue (caused by plesk updates). I'm posting how they fixed it so that if someone else has the same problem maybe they can fix it...

There is no IP address 67.23.xxx.yyy in the pool

over two months waiting for a fix. Parallels really blew it with this bug. We submitted a bug report 2 months ago and are still "waiting for developers" . It's unbelievable.

    Plesk 11.0 Preview

they should be seperate "API" access and "Admin" access should really be separate (they are different roles). You may want your admin staff members able to login from where ever they want (from home etc). But access to the "API" should be restricted to just a few machines (usually the server...

    Plesk 11.0 Preview

security enhancements Good to see that we will have encrypted password support in version 11. One other suggestion that I didn't see mentioned: 1. The ability to limit access to the Plesk web API (By specifying specific IP's or subnets). Normally you should only have the deployment servers...

There is no IP address 67.23.xxx.yyy in the pool

Answer from parallels Igor could we please get an answer from parallels ? This is affecting multiple people and has been reported for a while now. The DailyMaintainance/script.php shouldn't be changing IP addresses from "shared" to "dedicated" nightly like it is.

There is no IP address 67.23.xxx.yyy in the pool

can you be more specific Can you explain please? Why would the IP address change from "shared" to "dedicated" all on its own after the nightly script is run? We have 50+ domains using the shared IP address and never had this issue before some micro-update.

There is no IP address 67.23.xxx.yyy in the pool

confirmed bug Dear IgorG, I've confirmed that this is indeed a plesk bug still present as of 10.4.4 Update #27. Here are my findings: 1. I created a bash script to query the DB checking that the main IP address was marked as "shared". As soon as it was market as "dedicated" it would email...

There is no IP address 67.23.xxx.yyy in the pool

intermittent Unfortunately I can't seem to reliably replicate this bug. For some reason I set the main IP address to shared and then I get a support ticket later when staff tries to do an install from our WHMCS (we use the plesk API for domain installs). With the error: There is no IP address...

There is no IP address 67.23.xxx.yyy in the pool

spoke to soon Sorry I spoke to soon. Things are still broken. It seems that some of the auto updates changed the way IP addresses are allocated. Now I can't change any of my sites over to the dedicated IP addresses on the server.

There is no IP address 67.23.xxx.yyy in the pool

fixed it I was able to fix this myself. It looks like a plesk update set my primary shared IP address over to dedicated. I just marked the shared IP from dedicated over to shared again and now everything is working.
