• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

can Plesk do this? (is it "safe" to move from cPanel to Plesk?)

Alexey, thank you for replying again! Could you please test something for me? Since I don't use Plesk (yet) I can't test it myself. I found this on the Internet: http://gentoo-blog.de/confixx-plesk/change-document-root-plesk/ Could you test for me if that works? I would really...

can Plesk do this? (is it "safe" to move from cPanel to Plesk?)

Where did my last question go???? (edit: ah... it's there now :)) Domain aliases is not a good option since the e-mail of the aliased domain will be forwarded to the main domain. So if the main domain belongs to John and the aliased domain belongs to Mike, all of Mike's e-mail will be...

can Plesk do this? (is it "safe" to move from cPanel to Plesk?)

Thanks Alexey. The problem is that when I use domain aliases, the e-mail won't work anymore. For example, if the main user/domain is www.john.com and the domain alias is www.mike.com, then mail send to info@mike.com will be forwarded to info@john.com. Is there maybe another solution?

can Plesk do this? (is it "safe" to move from cPanel to Plesk?)

Seems like no-one wants to help me, or at least answer me. I hoped Plesk had an active and helpful community. It seems like I was wrong. I'd better stick to cPanel then. Too bad.

can Plesk do this? (is it "safe" to move from cPanel to Plesk?)

Oke... this is getting a bit awkward now. I'm used to getting a reply in a forum. So many views but not one single reply. Aren't there any Plesk experts here? I assumed there are. Am I wrong? Am I asking this question in the wrong section maybe? Someone please reply...

Can someone please answer this question? If what I want is possible I will transfer to Plesk... anyone please? Hello, I hope someone can help me to decide whether it is "safe" to move from cPanel to Plesk 12. I am thinking of moving to another hosting company and changing from cPanel to...
