• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Blank Page Segmentation Fault (11) Horde Login FIXED!

Hello, For close to a year now our Horde installation has not worked. We had tried a number of things from increasing file descriptors to installing older versions of Apache and PHP and even Horde itself, to no avail. In the meantime we have been using squirrelmail, and all of our...

https but no connection via http

Listen in Apache conf Hey, Ahh, I didn't notice that it was a separate IP! Yes you can also get rid of all 'Listen' commands in the httpd.conf file and just put: Listen 80 That way it listens on all IP's with port 80. The benefit is that if you add more IP's to the box, you won't have...

    Spam Problem

qmHandle and qmail-scanner Hey, We had some major mail issues in the past, and with the help of qmHandle (like artfuldrone suggested) and qmail-scanner we were able to keep everything flowing smoothly. I'm surprised ART didn't mention something about it, but I've found his qmail-scanner...

https but no connection via http

Anything in the logs? Are you able to see anything in the logs? At least this way we can verify if it's a DNS issue or a config issue. Check the particular vhost's access and error log - if it shows up there, then the DNS is good, and at least part of the httpd.include file for the vhost is...

Apache not killing some child processes

Hello, Four days ago, Apache suddenly started to not kill some of it's older child processes. Since the processes are unresponsive to new reqeusts, it then spawns more processes, leading to more than 150 httpd processes running. Mysql eventually ran out of connections, causing my clients to...

    SSL installation problem

Solution for this It took me a long time to find the solution to this problem, and here it is for anyone else who comes upon it. Rather than having to generate a key with Plesk and order another SSL, you can do the following: 1) Remove the encrypted password from the key: Remove the...

    can't delete site

Oh yeah I thought I had limited my search for this problem to linux, hadn't even noticed! Sorry... although the one time I had a problem with this on my windows box it was because I had a window open for the directory it was trying to remove. Jordan

    can't delete site

Here's what worked for me First to fix the user issue: edit /etc/passwd and look for the username in question - it should be given in the error. If it does not exist, copy one of the lines in that file for another general user/vhost. It will look something like below, but replace username...

    Install Squirrelmail to replace Horde

Hello everyone, This may have been done before, but in my searches I couldn't find a guide to help me completely switch over to Squirrelmail from Horde. Firstly, why would you want to do this? 1) Horde appears to have a vulnerability at this time that is being exploited by hackers...

    Command run adding domain

    Hello, Whenever a domain is added the following command is run: sh -c for pid in `/bin/ps axc -opid,command|/bin/grep -E "[0-9] named$"|/usr/bin/awk '{print $1}' -` ; do /bin/kill -1 $pid ; done followed by: /usr/bin/awk {print $1} - The problem is that these both give syntax errors...

    no php.conf

Attachment Filesize Yeah you need to adjust the following option in your php.ini file (on Red Hat it's in /etc/php.ini) upload_max_filesize = 2M Change that to whatever size you want the max to be for attachment uploads in a PHP webmail service. Jordan

    IMP/Horde Blank Page redirect.php

And... it's back. Yep, the problem was back as of this morning. Yet again, nothing was done to the box; no upgrades or downgrades, or changes of any sort. I'm completely confused. We also discovered that every time it fails to log in we get the following: [notice] child pid xxxx exit...

How to Update from 7.1.7 to 7.5.4+ [without updater]

Mail Problems At this point are you able to send mail through webmail? Or are you not able to log in to Webmail at all? If you can log in to webmail, any mail that was supposed to go to that account is not arriving, and this is for all accounts? Try installing qmHandle...

Apache can't create files under user permissions

Agreed I hear ya... it's annoying because your clients then cannot delete or edit files that have been uploaded through web based scripts. You could set up a cron job to chown <usr>:psacln everything in their dir, but this isn't a very good fix, and is specific to each user. This is what...

How to Update from 7.1.7 to 7.5.4+ [without updater]

It should be perfectly safe, since -e will remove only that one RPM, which appears to be the only thing blocking your updates. You may want to wait anyway just in case it requires that you install 7.5.4 again after removing it... you never know when weird things like that might happen with...

Updating plesk failed bc a newer version of Perl

We used to run accross this on our FBSD box before switching over to Red Hat. If you installed the newer version via ports, just do "use.perl system" (I think it's system)... then run use.perl port once it's been upgraded. Jordan

    Redhat file structure for Plesk

Not at all... the point of tarballing the directories at all was to perserve permissions (which worked great), otherwise we would have just done a straight copy. Jordan

How to Update from 7.1.7 to 7.5.4+ [without updater]

Conflicts with older install Hey, Looks like it wont update because it found a 71.7 installation on the box. Assuming you installed 7.5.4 and wish to use that, try running: rpm -qa | grep psa If you see any RPM's in that list that say psa-7.1.7, run rpm -i <nameofrpm> where...

    Redhat file structure for Plesk
