• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Apache crashes

Still happening! All of these variables were already set in a recompile done by the provider of the server about 6 months ago. So we reboot the server and kept watching it. A week passed, and no problems, but now yet again it is doing the very same thing. I add a domain and bang, apache dies -...

    Apache crashes

Voodoochile? Apache is continuing to act odd... today rather than disallowing connections, it decided to allow them, but point them to the normal httpdocs - as if there were no vhosts. Wonderful. Voodoochile if you've got those adjustments, let me know! Anyone else have anything to add...

    Apache crashes

Yeah, I quickly set maxclients back to 150 when it wasn't working at 30. It's always wonderful to hear that a relatively nice product has people working on it that cannot accept responsibility for their coding problems, and thereby will not even attempt to fix them. I haven't been...

    Apache crashes

No go! I set the maxclients var to 30 and the problem is still not resolved! critical_acquire() failed: Invalid argument critical_release() failed: Invalid argument Those errors continue to come up before apache fails to respond. The ironic thing is that I have another FreeBSD Server...

    Apache crashes

Possible fix I found this info in the version 7 troubleshooting section: I solved the problem. I have to modify the Apache configuration /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf Find: MaxClients 300 ( or 150 ? ) Replace by: MaxClients 30 And restart server . /sbin/reboot Later ca I...

    Apache crashes

Same Problem I'm having the very same problem. This never happend before, then a client of mine started adding many domains. After about 8 of them, every domain he added caused apache to crash... with the very same critical_release() fail errors. Did you ever figure this out? Or is there...

    MySQL root user overwrite

There seems to be a problem (at least in the FreeBSD version) where if any user decides to create the user "root" using the database manager in Plesk, it will overwrite the current root user. It's not a major security risk as the root privaleges do not transfer to this user, but it is an...

Creating a domain or subdomain or modifying a domain hangs

Same thing I just started having the same problem, and it's possible that one of my clients tried to create an already existing domain - but I can't say for sure on that. Whenever I try to create a new domain or edit a domain's properties (like change an FTP pass), it says "Please wait...

    Subdomain Wildcard oddness

I've got a weird situation, that I'm trying to explain. the default domain has a simple html file that redirects to my domain (called mydomain for simplicity). so going to http://myip takes you to http://mydomain for example. Let's assume that all domains mentioned here have subdomains...

    "catch-all" subdomains

I'm lookin for a solution to this too Hey, I'm lookin for a similar solution, but I dont' need sub.subdomain.com to be different each time. Here's my predicament: I need the subdomains to actually go to subdoman.domain.com and anything else to go to the domain. So if someone types in...

    Plesk 7.52 And FreeBSD

Thanks! This should really be stickied - this is a serious problem that is well addressed by this patch. And don't forget to run the update utility/apply the official patch mentioned there before doing this! If you're attempting to use this, make sure you follow the directions...
