If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Firewall might disable itself after updating to Plesk 11.5

I am not sure I understand your previous post correctly... How would you restart the firewall with this bug?

Firewall might disable itself after updating to Plesk 11.5

Yes, that´s also what I thought would be logical. Though, as you can see from the output I posted above, you can see that the firewall is not only stopped but disabled. With Plesk 11.0 you could restart the firewall, with Plesk 11.5 you cannot.

Firewall might disable itself after updating to Plesk 11.5

I already posted this as a bug report and now wanted to inform other users. Starting with Plesk 11.5, the file "/opt/psa/var/modules/firewall/firewall-emergency.sh" contains the following line: rm -f /opt/psa/var/modules/firewall/active.flag That line stems from updating Preparing to...

    Remove "Install Help Desk"

The workaround from GrBeach works fine so far. @Igor: As not everybody wants to use the Power User mode, please add the possibility to remove the button manually.

@Parallels: Any info on this bug? I have also already sent a bug report.

After update to Plesk 11.5 backup doesn´t cope with German umlauts anymore

When there are German umlauts like ä, ö, ü in a vhost.conf, pleskbackup aborts with an error message: # /usr/local/psa/bin/pleskbackup --server --configuration --output-file=test_pleskbackup Runtime error: The backup failed with errors! When I remove those umlauts from vhost.conf, the...

Easy to fix problems in upgrade process

The thread title suggests that these are easy to fix, not explicitly easy to find, but as I assume that there are professionals at Parallels, they should also find it quite easily. OS as I wrote was in the details. For the Plesk version: this is the forum for 11.x so also quite easy. I agree...

I was able to edit another post after posting the first one, so maybe the problem is now gone?

Easy to fix problems in upgrade process

Why do you impute that I didn´t "really" want to help??? I guess you didn´t "really" read my post thoroughly. Otherwise you would have noticed the "11.5.30-debian6.0.build115130710.19" - that kind of narrows it down, doesn´t it!? For the record: This happened with different OS, OS versions...

Easy to fix problems in upgrade process

I noticed some of these things already on previous updates. @Parallels: Should be easy to fix. Preparing to replace php5-ioncube-loader 4.0.14-12051415 (using .../php5-ioncube-loader_4.2.2-13031414_i386.deb) ... Unpacking replacement php5-ioncube-loader ... [: 6: Illegal number: 0upgrade...

[BUG] /var/qmail/control/locals missing hostname after updating Plesk

Hi, after I upgraded from Plesk 11.0.9 to 11.5.30, "/var/qmail/control/locals" only contained "localhost" and "localhost.localdomain", but it should also contain the server´s hostname. Otherwise, qmail will refuse to accept mail in some cases (IIRC). I have already noticed this behaviour...

If your incoming mail has suddenly started failing....

    Thx! =) "/var/qmail/control/spfrules" doesn´t exist, but I found it in "/etc/psa-spf/spfrules".

If your incoming mail has suddenly started failing....

Although my server with Plesk 11.0.9 doesn´t have "spf.trusted-forwarder.org" configured, I still see it in the log files. Any idea where this may come frome? I have seen another thread and that user experienced the same. Seems to have been fixed by appyling a patch, but as that thread is...

Plesk-Backup is missing the firewall rules

What would be the advantage of this? Why add more work to make sure to have a working/complete backup? 99% of users will expect to have the firewall rules when they use the Plesk backup utility!

    Annoying delay between posts

Yet another test to see if this is still broken... "This forum requires that you wait 300 seconds between posts." ...yes, it is. @Parallels: When will you finally fix this?

Plesk-Backup is missing the firewall rules

We just had to restore from backup and noticed that upon restore the firewall rules were missing. Apparently, Plesk-Backup (11.0.9) doesn´t save these or at least doesn´t restore it. Please fix this bug.
