    An underscore is definitely an invalid character in a hostname. It doesn't look like you'd get away with it on all Windows systems http://support.microsoft.com/kb/149044. The article also quotes the relevant RFC's if you really want to know.

    It depends where you're running your firewall from. Should the rule be in the FORWARD table instead of INPUT?
