Hugs to all of you. Here we are. My thoughts n hopes are the same. As we know, Plesk is always good for a suprise by finding a way to satisfy their customers.
It became obvious when I saw that OpenSSL is already possible with Plesk 17.9, if you rebuild the operating system. They already have...
Stay hungry, sleep hungry.
Nothing. Getting more infos who will change at which time the relevant components. perhaps finding a way to update Openssl only for webhosting by myself. PERHAPS...
Hi @learning_curve, like you wrote it's in a way interesting how Plesk will do it? But much more interesting, why Ubuntu 18.04.2 isn't delivered with OpenSSL 1.1.1?
But as we know from the thread we all loved so much (How to compile nginx...) there are funny ways to realize what we want to use...
Thanks @learning_curve for your interesting impressions and informations.
What you wrote under a) has NOTHING to do what I asked. My question was misunderstood or should have been asked in another more precised way from my side.
The correct answer is "Yes" as we can read in the thread in which...
Thanks a lot Plesk developers and team for implementing TLS 1.3 support by OpenSSL 1.1.1.
But I want to wait until a direct upgrade from 17.8.11 to 17.9 is possible without reinstalling fresh OS. (My last OS reinstall/upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS was already in Oct. 2018)
Therefor I activated...
Hi,
last week I made the point 2 upgrade of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on server with Plesk 17.8.11.
I was excited about the long promised upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.1 with TLS 1.3 support.
But Ubuntu 18.04 point 2 upgrade didn't change OpenSSL 1.1.0g version at all.
I read several docs from Canonical and...
Thanks a lot @Anthony for the good news.
I looked in Updates/Upgrades settings of Plesk Panel, but there is no Plesk 17.9.11 Preview option for now. (I have early adopters activated in the bottom of the versions section. Perhaps it's possible only over CLI? I don't know.

Yes, here is my old configuration. It worked perfectly for WoltLab community software which is very similar to Wordpress. But I know you have to leave out the Woltlab section and have to use Wordpress specific configuration parts.
1. Box is the .htaccess configuration only for WoltLab Community...
If you would decide to use only Nginx without Apache I can post my whole configuration, which most nginx-only-users use.
Until two years ago I also used the "normal" nginx as proxy server setup, but I always put the apache configuration in the .htaccess file, not in "additional directives for...
Hi @IgorG ,
is it a bug? No I don't think so. Perhaps, Xenforo doesn't support this feature any longer?
Do you remove this feature?
EDIT:
sorry, I just saw that you use it only in specific forum sections.
You could delete my thread, if you want.

Today time was over, didn't want to wait longer for provider or someone else to change the mirror. Therefor I watched the MariaDB support site and choose the Hosteurope mirror. Also searched for the old existing one - mirror.host.ag - which is located in Sofia, Bulgaria, nice capital city of...
Hi at all,
Could someone please tell me what mariadb@.service is about and whether status disabled is an error or not?
I was not able to find any information on Internet about this service with "@"-char.
But I changed open_files_limit to infinity. That's why I came to this topic above.

Hi @Ankebut,
in my.cnf under daemon
This is my configuration as an example by the recommendations of mysql tuner, MariaDB logs/restarts and WoltLab software support.
The most depends of your unique hardware (e.g. RAM(32G)) and the whole server configuration.
/etc/mysql/my.cnf
Hi @IgorG and Plesk friends
I found a part of a solution. Not the ultimate one, but very close to it.
By investigation I looked closer to one of the oldest threads dealing with DHPARAM. Mister @Lloyd_mcse tutorial is the key here.
In his posting Lloyd gave the raw command to create the pems. By...
Thank you very much @virtubox.
Problem is,my server is hosted by a big provider (Ionos, former 1and1). They maintain the mirrors pretty competent. I've never had such a problem in 13 years now. Perhaps I asked too early for help. Tomorrow I'll phone the support of Ionos. It's also possible in...
Yes I updated MariaDB manually, but already two months ago. By updating (like a charm) the new repos were implemented automatically by update procedure.
I look every day for updates and it worked successfully since last October.
So, it seems that perhaps something was changed by another update...
