• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Support for PHP disable_functions per domain

Hi, I'm considering upgrading to this version of PLESK. It's very important to me that I can set the PHP disable_functions to allow shell access for one domain only. PHP disable_functions MUST be in php.ini. Does PLESK 11 support different php.ini per domain? I've downloaded the trial...

    Upgrade from 7.5.4 to 8.6

I've just had a very bad experience trying unsuccessfuly to migrate and upgrade from 7.5.4 to 9.0 [using both backup-convert utilities, and never loading the data into 8.6] I've given that up. So now I have an old server RHEL3 PLESK 7.5.4, new server CentOS 5.2, PLESK 8.6. I want to migrate...

I'm attempting to move from a RHEL3 PLESK7.5.4 to a CentOS 5.2 PLESK 9.0.1. The 2 servers have different license keys [if that makes any difference]. All commands were issued from the new server. PLESK 7.5.4 was running but I had disabled one client called 'Sam' and ensured that all the...

HOW DO I: Install a PLESK 7.5.4 backup into PLESK 9.0?

I am moving from an old server to a new. The old one is running PLESK 7.5.4, the new one is running PLESK 9.0. How do I make a full PLESK 7.5.4 backup [accounts, domains, files, databases, crontabs, mailboxes, etc etc] and reinstall it on PLESK 9.0? EDIT: To avoid the moderation queues...

    MySQL default character set

Please can you confirm the MySQL default character set configuration that PLESK 8.6 installer creates? I believe that it is UTF-8, is that correct? If so, is it safe to change it without causing any PLESK components to fail? I ask because I have a PHP script that will not install...

How do I add (and keep) my own entries in httpd.conf

When I create domains, PLESK is creating an httpd.conf file per domain which is fair enough. Subdomains are added to the same file, also fair enough. But if I edit the httpd.conf file in SSH, then add another subdomain, in PLESK, my edits are lost. Other things like disabling then re-enabling...

    DNS/Nameserver black arts

I've read the manuals, I've watched the flash movies, I've looked at the howtos, I've looked at others questions but still I am completely confused. So let me say what I'd like to do, and hopefully somebody can tell me exactly how. Currently I have 4 domains all running on the same IP (in...
