• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question block .local (invalid) emails (spam issue)

My server is getting attacked with large amounts of incoming spam emails (thousands an hour!), which delays delivery of normal valid emails, and causes all sorts of issues. All of these spam messages show the same invalid sender address in the Mail Queue: <postmaster@3-it.local> (see below)...

    FTPs (TLS/SSL) AUTH not understood

I compared both /etc/proftpd.conf on old and new server, and found out the <IfModule mod_tls.c> part was missing in <Global>: <Global> DefaultRoot ~ psacln AllowOverwrite on <IfModule mod_tls.c> # common settings for all virtual hosts TLSEngine on TLSRequired off...

    FTPs (TLS/SSL) AUTH not understood

I just migrated from a CentOS 5 server with Plesk 11.5 to a new server with CentOS 6.6 Plesk 12. All customers, resellers, domains, subscriptions and even FTP users have been migrated fine (great tool btw). There's only one thing what I cannot get to work on the new server: FTPs...

    DenyHosts Reports?

Might be good indeed, but I don't want these emails piling up whenever it happens. I'ld rather receive a daily/weekly log instead of individual emails.

    DenyHosts Reports?

Is DenyHosts part of the latest Plesk update? I'm suddenly getting swamped with DenyHosts reports from my VPS. How can I turn of these notifications? The messages look like this: Added the following hosts to /etc/hosts.deny: 218.80.224.41 (unknown)

HTTP Loopback Connections are not enabled on this server

So almost a year later, and I'm still dealing with this issue. All software has been upgraded to the lastest stable versions. I don't get the HTTP Loopback error on domains which use a dedicated IP, I only get it with domains using a shared IP. Editing the /etc/hosts file as suggested in...

HTTP Loopback Connections are not enabled on this server

I have a similar setup + issue: Plesk 10.4.4 on CentOS5, with WordPress 3.3.1 + BackupBuddy which also shows "HTTP Loopback Connections are not enabled on this server". A firewall is not installed by my ISP, and I'm using default Plesk configuration settings. Any help from Linux admins is...
