• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Mod_security log trouble

Hello, I noticed that to get Mod_security writing to its modsec_audit.log I need to stop and restart Mod_security. Once started the log file grows explosively. I use logrotate to rotate the modsec_audit.log every 24 hours, placing the following in /etc/logrotate.conf...

    Plesk 11.5 Backup won´t work

Hello, I have reported a very similar problem on my server. See that thread for error messages in backup.log Only one of my domains causes an error when trying to create a backup. I have no strange characters in the domain name, system user for that domain or in the domains' vhost.conf...

    Backup manager fails

Apparently a pretty similar error commented in this recent thread. It surprises me that non-utf characters in a username or password can crash a backup manager. If this were true I'd call that a bug, and quite an important one. I can make individual backups of other domains on my server...

    Backup manager fails

Thanks for the suggestion. I could not find any non utf symbols in user names, passwords and the like for that domain. Also, until I updated from 10.x to 11.x backups where running fine, the problem started with the update. What surprises me is that it does not matter whether I choose to do a...

    Backup manager fails

I did quite some reading on this subject over the past couple of months. I did not find anything useful, which does not mean nothing useful exists. It probably does but I could not find it. I read my backup log and figured maybe the error was due to one of my domain names containing an ñ...

Watchdog - The Plesk Web Server service on host xx.xxxxx.com is down.

I experienced similar problems. In my case his is due to a combination of few resources assigned to my container in combination with backup processes run by my provider. I am in the middle of changing to a different provider as my current provider claims it is normal servers collapse as a...

    File size aquota.group aquota.user

Thanks for your reply Igor. What bothers me is that those files are so big, doesn´t such file size reduce server speed? I am the only user on this sever, can I not run my container without the processes that use those files?

    File size aquota.group aquota.user

Hello, I found out that there are quite a few huge files on my system. I get this list of files over 100mb in size: [root@ns1 ~]# find / -size +100M /var/named/run-root/proc/vz/vzaquota/00000071/aquota.user /var/named/run-root/proc/vz/vzaquota/00000071/aquota.group...
