  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Access ODBC DSN Only Works Once

I have a number of users trying to use OBDC DSNs to read/write to Access databases. When they set the DSN up in Plesk and test it it connects successfully. But in real world situations the database can only be read once and then it reports an "Unspecified Error -2147467259". I've given IUSR_domainname full permissions on the folder which the database in in so that the the ldb file will be able to be deleted.
But sometimes I can even see the ldb file sitting in the folder.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

Make sure what database files permissions was inherited from directory.

Yes, I've done that.

Basically, I'm going to tell all new clients that we don't support Access DSNs and that they should use a direct connection to the file using the Jet driver.

It makes wonder what Plesk is actually testing when it reports that the DSN is working ??
