  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Adding a PECL Extention for plesk

I have Plesk 8.4 running on FC7, with php 5.2.4 installed. I'd like to utilize the PECL extension for reading/writing id3 tags, but I'm at a bit of a loss. Not only have I never installed a PECL extension, Plesk seems to have it's own quirks.

Has anyone accomplished this (installing any PECL, I guess) and can you provide any direction? I downloaded the PECL package, but following online tutorials for installing PECL packages aren't helping.

Thanks for any suggestion/direction!

Scott

Plesk uses a standard PHP, so it's nothing special you must do on it. Just follow the installation instructions for the Pecl extensions, they apply 100%.
