• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

adding email to subdomain

New Pleskian
Hi,

Our own domain domain.com is only used in plesk for our website. A subdomain called mailing.domain.com is used to send mailings via oempro from octeth. It is installed on the subdomain.

Now we need a catchall mailbox on that subdomain. Now it seems that email is regulated at the top domain and cannot be set on the subdomain. Problem is that email for the topdomain domain.com is hosted on an exchange server and not on plesk. Enabling the email on the topdomain is not an option as mails sent to us from plesk (admin and other notifications) wil be tried to be deliverd locally and not to our exchange server.

I read a post that we will need to create a seperate domain for the subdomain then?

If so please send me the procedure to move the hosting that is now on a separate hosting with a seperate ftp login on the subdomains of domain.com to a new domain hosting.

If a workaroud is available please send that as well.

Regards,
