  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

We're running php5.4 from Atomic on our server (CentOS 6, Plesk 11.09) but we have a client who needs php5.3. I've been looking at this KB article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/114753 and it seems straightforward enough to set up an alternative PHP instance but I'm nervous about following a generic KB and potentially stuffing up the main PHP instance on our server.

Because the KB article doesn't allow comments there aren't any "this worked for me" or "if you're using CentOS remember to do X" etc to support the KB article.

Is it safe to follow this KB article verbatim (prefix and php version aside) and/or are there any areas I should pay specific attention to when following it?

Many thanks

Hello Alxdnr,

I did have a look at that link but as it relates to Plesk 11.5 and I'm running 11.09 it didn't seem to apply?
