  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi, with all the IPv4 shortage talks over the Internet and IPv6 often available from VPS/Dedic providers, does anyone here try running real hosting on IPv6? How do you use IPv6?

We have enabled IPv6 on our servers and we see it being used occasionally. Mostly by the mailserver delivering mail via IPv6. Some providers here in the Netherlands already put their clients on IPv6 connections to the internet so we see some HTTP IPv6 traffic as well, but 90% is still IPv4.

We have seen some problems with using IPv6 for e-mail in the case where the destination server is running a whitelist only policy (http://www.ipv6whitelist.eu). While that whitelist addresses a fundamental problem we feel that their solution is not the way to go.
