The problem is that Parallels Plesk Panel does not support applications that have no htdocs directory. In the latest version of Plesk the error that you see is replaced with the warning that it is not possible to install the utility.

Same issue cant resolve

Hi Guys,
I am on windows 2003 server, on plesk 8.6, and was trying to install joomla directly from the aplication vault.
The problem was, that i download the aplication from apsstandard.org, and then upload using the aplication vault.
After it finish uploading, this same error appears, and now, i can not even install any other, because this error is showing everytime i hit aplication vault, even from domains directly also.

As I can see you have Parallels Plesk Control panel 8.6 and this version supports packages of APS Standard 1.0 and is not able to use packages from later versions of this standard. If you check content of APP-META.xml in joomla-xxxxx directory you will see that the version is not 1.0:

<application xmlns="http://apstandard.com/ns/1" version="1.2"

So that is why you got such issue.

Solution

Hi.
I also tried to install the joomla and now I get the Catchable fatal error.

How can I remove it?

I found the solution.
I just had to delete the joomla folder under C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\var\cgitory
