  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Application User access to Wordpress Toolkit

GlennT

Basic Pleskian
Hi there,

I am trying to create Application User to provide access to Wordpress Toolkit so content editors can push updates to live site.

I have created the user however the staging subdomain does not appear in Access to Apps list to give that permission to.

The only websites which appear in Access to Apps are those websites which were installed via Plesk
s Application installation. Wordpress websites added manually or migrated in do not appear in this list.

How can I get a domain to appear in Access to Apps list?

Thanks
G

I cannot solve this, but I have a question anyway: Did you actually add the Wordpress website to the Toolkit by "scanning" for new Wordpress Websites, e.g. does the panel recognize the Wordpress installation as a toolkit maintained installation? Or did you only create the website without having the Wordpress toolkit scan for it to integrate it into the panel?

Yes, I scanned for Wordpress intallation and Wordpress Toolkit found it and is visible within the domain itself but it's not visible under Access to Apps when adding a user.

Unfortunately, that give user complete access to most Plesk functions. Do you know if a fix for this is planned at some point?

Thanks for your help Peter.
