• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Application Vault alternatives?

Hi guys,

I was interested to know what others are currently utilising to offer up-to-date applications for their customer bases?

In the past I've toyed with both Plesk's Application Vault and the 4PSA Integrator but have found that the available application packages tend to not be kept up to date with the major/critical releases of the application itself, which in turn causes headaches for the users who are left open to exploits and unable to utilise an "update" option from within the Plesk Control Panel to rectify possible security issues addressed by security patches for the application. Which in turn leads them to simply download/install the application from the official site and manage themselves.

I've come across the following application manager which appears to be similar to the above tools, but the available packages kept more readily up to date: http://installatron.com/ and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it or any alternative suggestions to what I've tried out above?

Would love some feedback :)
