  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Application Vault Packages not installing

I recently upgraded from Fedora Core 4 to Fedora Core 5. In doing so, Application vault programs have stopped installing.

I'm running psa v8.6.0_build86080930.18 os_FedoraCore 5

Here's the error message I'm getting:

Warning: Program execution failed, please check Plesk Control Panel's log files for details (Unable to find command line php interpreter.). Contact your system administrator for assistance.

I've verified that php is at /usr/bin/php and is in PATH.

I'm not sure where the Plesk Control Panel log files are, to see if there is a further error. Any suggestion where I can look? Everything else is working great.

I've come to value the Application Vault, and would hate to lose it.

Please control panel logs are located under /usr/local/psa/.

/usr/local/psa doesn't contain any log files, and /usr/local/psa/var/log ONLY contains the FTP logs. :I had already looked there. ( So if Plesk is logging its attempts to run the application vault software, I still have no clue where.

Ok, how about this:

Is there a specific module that performs the appvault application installation, that I can perhaps reinstall? I'd really like to get this situation fixed, before I upgrade to 9.0

The logs are in /usr/local/psa/admin/logs/

the common ones are httpsd_access_log and httpsd_error_log

Also, I would advise you to stay away from 9.0 for a couple more weeks if not months, the bugs are still not worked out and judging by the responses in the 9.0 forums people are pissed about things being broken.

Yeah, that's the other reason I've been reluctant. I just wish I could track down this php interpreter problem. One of the main reasons I use plesk is for the application vault.
