  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

auto-install package updates like ServerPilot

New Pleskian
I was just checking out ServerPilot and it does automatic updates to all system packages. How can I do that in plesk? I'm on Ubuntu 12 with Plesk 11.

I also really like that ServerPilot is totally centralized and there's no control panel on each server. There's no SSL cert warnings when logging in to the control panel. Plesk's central automation tool seems so complicated. I guess plesk is just complicated in general because it does so much.

What sort of automatic updates do you want? Plesk updates can be installed automatically. Installation of all OS updates automatically can lead to unpredictable consequences due to possible compatibility problems.

I want the OS updates. Like if SSH needs an update, I want that done immediately. How would that break plesk?
